anyone ever gone during Christmas time. i heard it was good but id like to get some other opinions. anything will help :tilt:

i'm going at xmas itme at it is lots of fun :) i love all the xmas decorations jup and if you go to MVMCP you can get complimentary cookies and hot chocolate, an xmas parade and a special version of wishes :)

actually i'm going the day after you...

I find it totally amazing....Candelight processional......Try to get that....its amazing! I also love the gingerbread house in The american adventure....the apple cider is AMAZING!! :cool1:

i agree, the candlelight processional is very pretty. we saw it the christmas after 9-11 and nearly everyone in the audience was crying. be sure to check out epcots holidays around the world and the special bit they do after illuminations "let there be peace on earth". i wailed XD

the mickeys very merry christmas party is just adorable with the decorations and special wishes. plus the cookies and hot chocolate arent half bad XD. at the end of the night when its over, they release "soap sud snow" down main street for the icing on the cake finale.

im hoping to make it this year as well. have lotsa fun! :goodvibes

We went the days right before Christmas, and they usually have concert series in the "bandstand" by the American Adventure in EPCOT, which are really nice. I love the gingerbread house there too and all the decorations in MK and the huge Christmas tree in EPCOT. I haven't gone to MVMCP, but from the OP I hear it's really nice! I highly recommend going. :)

I definatly agree with the Illuminations Holiday Edition being great! It is so amazing and you can only see that edition in the holiday season and trust me you DONT wanna miss it!

oh also another hting: Dont forget osbourne lights in mgm they are beautiful and definatly worth going to see! but it can be very cold too!

Has any one ever gone, like the day after thanksgiving ? myfamily and I are going to the MK on thanksgiving and going back acouple days after and I hear the lights and everything are already up. is that true? if it is to what extent?

were also hitting mgm and epcot so what's all going on?

In EPCOT they have a big themed Christmas tree and they have a lighting ceremony everyday for it. In MGM they have the Osbourne Family Lights, which are really cool.

We did Holloween last year and are going the Week before X-mas Mon-Fri this year.

We have the MVMCP set already but really want to Resort hop and check out the different resorts and what they do with the different food displays ( carousel ,gingerbread house ,Poly village) .Then not to miss MGM osbourn lights ,Epcots CP and Ak mickeys Jingle Jangle parade.

We can't wait even though we only 15 days until our Summer trip for the week.

hey guys ive been during both christmas(2005) and thanksgiving(2003), thanksgiving is pretty good but christmas is the bast, the MVMCP is the best but it sells out in april and you have to ssee the candlelight processional and the special wishes fireworks spectacular

I've heard it is beautiful, especially in Epcot and MGM, with all of the lights and celebrations.

wow sounds great i cant wait to go now. how does the candle light processional work do i need a ticket or is it a first come first served kinda thing cause that sounds really cool. also the giant tree in epcot sounds great i love doing my small tree at home so the giant tree is probobly much better. is that at like closing time or do you have to come back in afterwards.

I can't answer your question to the candlelight processional, but the tree lighting ceremony is during the day. I think it starts somewhere around dusk (I don't remember it being very dark outside), probably around 5 o'clock. I'm not 100% sure on the time, but I hope this helps anyway!

Have tons of fun with your sibs when you go! :goodvibes

Disney at Christmas is amazing. I went for the first time last year. Everything is so intricately decorated and they pay attention to every little detail. MGM was my favorite park because at night they have the Osbourne spectacle of lights. You go into the backlot and absolutely everything is lit up.

Here's some pics from Christmastime (you're lucky we had them on the computer):

Yes, that's a gingerbread carousel

Some of those pics are pretty bad, but you get the idea..

Those pics don't even hold a candle to what it's like in real life..
