For all of those brave couragous Disney drivers out there, what is your best time from home driveway to Disney? Two weeks ago from just north of Cincinnati to AoA it took us just under 16 hours, not a land speed record but not bad either and that was with a small stop for the night in Valdosta, GA. feel free to add varibles, we have two DDs one is 5 and the other 7. popcorn::

When I was young a billion years ago, me and my mother would drive.. It was about the same time frame as yours. In recent years we drove ONCE :rotfl2:.. We just have too many people confined in a small space for that long of a ride... we fly now

Well if it's just you four, shouldn't be too bad.. But for me, let's just say I've been a very busy man :lmao:

23 hours 35 minutes to WDW, 22 hours to DL. Many many many times. Straight through.:)

Solo. Houston to WDW. 995 miles. 13.66 hours. Stopped twice for less than 25 mins total.

On the way back had the family and got caught in holiday traffic. Took 16.5 hours. Orlando to the I-10 split in holiday traffic has horrid and took 2 hours more than it did on the way in.

It's 8 and a half hours from our house to Disney World. I drive no faster than 72 MPH. The police are usually out in force on I-75 and I don't want to be ticketed.

We stop once for lunch and a bathroom break and that is it unless my husband wants to stop at every antique place he sees on I-75.

I no longer point out the signs when I see them so we won't stop.

When I go solo, I usually fly now unless the prices are high.

my *Best time*? 72 min. But i live in Tampa, so that has a lot to do with it. :)

Our best time was 20 hours. We left at 1pm and arrived at AoA at 9am. We had 2 of our kids with us 11 and 17. We drove through from Syracuse NY and had no traffic delays. We stopped at a Target for Starbucks and headphones and ate in our car.

13 hrs 18 minutes from AKL to Georgetown, KY, 835 miles. We stopped 4 times for fuel/restroom/quick bites. I stay under 80-have driven over 3/4 million miles with no ticket or at fault accident.

The average time is around 14 with a few 16s sprinkled in due to traffic.

9.5 hours from the triangle in NC. As a matter of fact, we'll be driving it in 4 days. :cool1:

Nice drive, We travel the same I-75 from Cincy. I think the worst part of the trip for us has to be from south Atlanta to Ocala. It seems like we get to Atlanta in no time. After Atlant, 1 mile seems like 5 and 5 minutes seem like 20

We drive straight thru from Cleveland, ohio. I must say I really prefer the West Virginia Turnpike after dark, far less truck traffic. I have also managed to avoid the Virginia fog. We leave at 6 or 7 the night before and get to the resort around 2 with a dinner, breakfast and lunch stop. Last cheap food!

560 miles in seven and half hours from NC. We should not have gotten there that quick. DH drives entirely too fast!! Normally it's around eight hours. That's still good time. (We NEVER argue about his driving on the way...) Good thing I <3 him. ;)

We've made 14 hours - when all the stars are aligned....and we're clear of DC by 6am...

When we used to drive, we'd drive from Syracuse, NY and stay overnight in North or South Carolina. Then we'd drive the rest of the way to our hotel and arrive by about 7:00 or so the next night.

Drive from Chicago straight thru overnight with 3 kids under 7. 1219 miles in just under 17 hours with a few potty breaks. Much cheaper than flying and a real perk to have car and be able to drive to parks.

It once took us almost 20 minutes to get to Animal Kingdom. Traffic on 192 was horrible. Thank goodness not to many people know about getting off 192 on Black Lake Road and taking that to Sherberth for the back way into DAK. :rotfl:

Sorry, had to say it.

On a more serious note, at least once a year, we have to drive to Glendale/Springdale/Fairfield OH (near you Scuba?) to visit my Mother and my other sibs who still live up there. We do the exact opposite. Travel north on 75, stop in Dalton, (kids love the Outback there, wife loves the mall) and make a quick pitstop usually around Berea KY for gas and motor the rest of the way into Cincy. Best time so far was 15.5 hours. I swear my daughter has a bladder the size of a small squirrel. :confused3
