Animal Kingdom
We had an early PS for Donald's breakfast this morning. The Animal Kingdom bus came very quickly at POP. I love the bus service at Pop!
We did have to wait for a bit before being let in to Animal Kingdom, but my son found a boy about his age to talk to so that pass the time.
We were let in right on time. Our server at this time was very good & funny. The characters we saw were Donald, Goofy, Mickey & Pluto. We always have more then enough to eat at this breakfast.
After breakfast we have about 10 mins about the park opens, so we wait at the rope they have up so noone goes into the park before opening.
We had planned this Animal Kingdom day a short one because DS had to be at the Neverland Club @ 5:00.
So DH & I had our plan all figured out.
As soon as the rope dropped, DS & I walked over to the Festival of the Lion King, to catch the first showing. DH went up & grabbed FPs for the Safari & then met us back in line.
We saw the 9:45 showing of the Lion King. WONDERFUL show! We all love this show & have to see it everytime we are at AK.
We headed on up to the Safari ride after the show. We walked right on with the help of the FPs
After our adventure in Africa we decided to head off to Asia & grab some FPs for the rapids.
On our way to Asia we ran into DIVINE!!!! I was so thrilled because we have never been able to find her. We watched her for a bit & my DS was totally in tance with her! He was amazed.
It was really fun & had a great time. I am so happy we were able to see her this time around.
We grabbed our FPs for Kali River Rapids, another ride we never experienced.
We had time to go catch the next showing of Tarzan Rocks. Now, everytime we tried to see Tarzan Rocks in the past it was canceled because of rain. Today there wasn't a rain cloud in the sky so we were going to make it a point to MAKE SURE we saw Tarzan Rocks.
We caught the 12:00 showing of it & my son loved the show. It really wasn't what I expected but I thought it was pretty good.
After the showing we were able to get another FP, so we quickly grabbed one for It's Tough to be a Bug, before heading off to the Rapids.
We loved the Rapids. I ended up putting my feet on that bar & my shoes barely got wet!!!! YEAH!!!!!
My son loved the rapids so much he wanted to go it again but there was a 40 min wait with the stand-by, so we told him another day.
Before heading out we ran into It's Tough to be a Bug. All of us loves this show & always get some great laughs out of it.
We left Animal Kingdom around 2:00. Took a bus back to POP & freshen up a bit before driving over to the Poly to drop DS off at the Neverland Club for the evening.
DS had never been to the Neverland Club before so everyone was a little nervous but once he checked in & saw the video games he was pretty happy
DH & I had a PS at the California Grill, but we had about an hour & a half before our PS, so we took the monorail over to Epcot & rode Mission Space. DS will not ride it, so this was the only time DH & I would be able to ride it together.
We stood in the stand by line, which really wasn't that long, about 30 mins...boy when you don't have a child with you, 30 mins doesn't seem that long.
On our way out we decided we would ride Spaceship Earth. We have never been able to sit together in this ride since one of us is with DS.
We took the monorail back to the Ticket/transportation center & hopped on the resort monorail to take to the contemporary.
We got there in plenty of time for our PS. We were able to get a window seat. It was a beautiful view! We have eaten here before but never received a window seat.
We had a wonderful meal & were able to see the fireworks over MK.
A great way to end the day
We picked up DS around 9:45 or so & he told me he had a wonderful time there & wanted to come back again.
We arranged it so he could go back for a few hours tomorrow too
