Day 2 Sunday, May 30th
Mickey wakes us up bright & early. We had an 8:00 PS at Cape May Breakfast over at the Beach Club, so we decided we would drive there & then drive over to MGM for Star Wars Weekend!
Our breakfast was delicious! I was surprised when we left & it was only 8:45. We actually where getting through the security line when they offically opened MGM! Not too bad!
Since everyone either goes left or right we decided to go straight & go to the Great Movie Ride. I enjoy this ride but I don't think it is worth standing in line for it. We were able to walk right on.
DS was on this last year but doesn't remember it. When we got to the gangster part the poor child ducked because he thought they were using real guns!!!
I told him they are not real & he was OK with it then. Poor child!
We headed over to the Star Wars area, grab a Fast Pass for Star Tours & met some of the characters! It was a lot of fun. My son really doesn't know what Star Wars is quite yet, he is only 4, but he thought some of the characters were.....well, interesting!
After meeting some characters we decided to head into Muppets 3D. Again there was not many people here!
We all enjoy this 3D movie, as always.
By the time it was over our Star Tours FP was ready. On the way over there we see Boba Fett taking pictures. My son wants a picture with him. The line wasn't too long so we said "ok". Well, I was watching Boba Fett with the other kids & it seemed like with older kids he was play around & act really mean. I was getting nervous because although my DS is only 4, he easily gets mistaken for a 6 or even 7 yr old.
I knew DS would get a little freaked if Boba Fett 'roughed' him up a bit.
Sure enough I saw it was coming when my son walked up to Boba Fett & Boba Fett just stood there staring at him! Boba Fett grabbed DS's collar on his shirt & pulled him closer to him. Well, DS freaked, as I knew he would! He tried to get away from Boba Fett, well either Boba Fett thought DS was playing or Boba was a jerk but he did not let go of DS at first.
Finally the CM saw DS was scared & he went over. After DS was free of Boba, he came running over to him crying! He told me he was scared because he thought Boba Fett was going to hurt him.
I told him that he was just playing & that he wasn't going to hurt him. We cuddle for a bit & then all is OK....but he did tell me "I don't like Boba Fett anymore!"
We head over to Star Tours, we all enjoy that!
It was almost time for our 1:00 PS at Sci Fi. We were not that hungry but it was very hot & really could use a place to sit & relax. DH & I order onion rings & shakes. DS ordered the mac n' cheese. No complaints here. DS thought it was so cool eating in a car & watching "movies"
After our meal we decided to head over and try to meet Buzz Lightyear & friends at Al's Toy Barn. The line wasn't too long & Buzz and Woody were out. Well, just as my DS was next, Buzz & Woody needed a break! We just stayed in line & then were greeted not only by Buzz & Woody but Jessie too! He has never got a picture with Jessie before so that was fun for him.
After meeting the trio, we decided to take a little break. DS had not used a stroller all day at this part. We did not bring one with us & decided to just rent one if we had too.
We sat down on a bench & were enjoying some nice cold water. When we saw Kermit & Miss Piggy walk right by us. Well, DH & DS follow them, while I stay back and hold everyone's water.
DS got a picture with Miss Piggy & Kermit, which is something he never done before!
We wanted to catch the next Beauty & the Beast show so we started walking over in that direction.
On the way though, I wanted to go on Mickey Ave & meet Jedi Mickey. We found Jedi Mickey all alone, so that was very nice for us.
We get to the B&B show & got decent seats, halfway up the middle section. Awesome show, like always. It is a must see for us everytime.
We decided to find a nice place for the Parade. We all LOVE the MGM parade! It is the only parade where DS can see one of his favorite characters....Hercules!
We found a great spot that had some shade....did I say it was HOT????
This parade never disappoints us & it didn't today. So many characters came up to DS to shake his hand. He loved it.
Even Phil (from Hercules) played with DH...DH must have a "pick on me" look
We thought about staying for Fantasmic, but DH and DS were hot so we decided not to push it tonight & go back to POP! We figured we would catch Fantasmic later, we have 20 days at WDW, surely we can catch Fantasmic another day.....yeah right
