Disney Dream ~ September 15, 2011

Oh I thought you were gonna say that Pollo Camero or something like that that they put where the McDonalds used to be. T-Rex is good, too. We've never been to Cap'n Jack's. The oldest DS begs for Fultons but I know him too well. He'll sit down and order the most expensive plate in the joint. Or a pricey steak with 2 lobster tails on the side. He kills us. pirate: So, I'm officially afraid to take that kid to Fulton's. :scared1:

AKL! We enjoyed it there when we stayed in January 2010. Of course, we were there for that extreme cold snap...you know, when white stuff fell from the sky in the wee hours TWICE. I expected the animals on the savanna to go on strike. :lmao:

Hey sweetpee_1993 you'll have to take DS to Fulton's. It is a very nice place to eat...........can be a little pricey.......depends on what you order. From the sounds of it you probably will need to bring the ol' piggy bank with you when you take your DS there to eat.:thumbsup2

DW and I enjoy staying at AKL. We hop around to all of the resorts, and each and everyone of them has different things we like about them, but AKL is one of our favorites. We are looking forward to staying at the Art of Animation Resort when it opens up next year. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We awoke this morning to freezing rain, and cancelled school buses! Then Thick falling snowflakes for most of the afternoon! One last Winter Blast before March Arrives :)

Our latest news is our newest Family? member? I'm still calling him a Temporary Guest. A CAT. We do NOT need any more pets, and when my daughter told me just after Christmas that she was going to bring home a kitten the following week, I FORBID her from doing so. We have Two dogs, two rats and a fish.
On Saturday an older Kitten followed my DS13 home from walking his dog. When DH went out to see what DS was talking about, the cat was on our porch. DH called to it, holding the door open and the thing walked right in and made itself at home. None of us wanted to put it back outside since here the prevailing opinion is that unless you live on a farm, a cat is a HOUSE PET and not an outdoor animal. It' still quite young so we hoped that he had just escaped his Real home and lost? We figured we'd try to find his real home but in the meantime, he'd stay with us. Took him to the vet today, he's not mircro chiped so I'll call both local papers tomorrow to put in a FOUND ad. Those papers come out Thursday and Friday. DH now says if nothing comes of those efforts plus the notices we've left at the local vets, then this cat has FOUND his new home, UGGGHHHHHHHH! He is cute though ;)

We have been having 80 degree temps down here in the ol' Sunshine State!!!:cool2::cool2::cool2: In fact I was out yesterday doing the yard work, and got sunburned. But with me a sunburn turns into a tan the next day.:cool2:

Judy, we have 3 cats, and two of them adopted us. They were strays that someone dumped off and they needed a home real bad. We have two tabby's, a grey tabby Sabrina, who is around 16 or17 years old, a stray who like yours just walked in to our house and made herself at home. A yellow tabby, Sunny, a stray who slept outside our bedroom window at night until he decided to make our home his home. And a Main Coon, Chole, who is 6 years old. And they all get along just fine.:dance3: NOT!!! they fight just like any siblings do all of the time!!!:confused3

And, how is everyone this fine Tuesday morning? We are getting some much needed rain here in Florida this morning.:thumbsup2 I don't think it will last all that long though. But, it is still suppose to get up to around 78 degrees here today. Gota love it!!!:cool1::thumbsup2:cool1::thumbsup2

You know sweetpee_1993 I never gave Pallo Campero's a thought. That is a possibility, but also might go to Raglan Road Irish Pub. DW does have a wee bit o' the Irish in her!!! So many choices to make here!!! I'm getting sooooooooooooooo confused!!!:confused3:confused3:confused3 You know, I will, in all probablity, write them all down on separate pieces of paper - throw them in a hat - and pick one. Or better yet...................let DW choose!!!! Can't go wrong there..................or can I???!!??:scared1:

Davidls--hello neighbor. Hope you aren't affected by these fires and can enjoy this weather before it gets too hot (sorry to say that in front of all of you looking a snow)

And SweetPea my DD is the same way at Fultons, she eats me under the table and her meal is always more than mine.

And I highly recommend T-Rex, it is much better than RainForest. Hope everyone has a good week.

Where are you located queenreen? As you can see by my avatar I'm located in New Port Richey, just about 25 miles or so northwest of Tampa. And no the fires are not a problem to us here. Although it was good to get that rain this morning. The ol' lawn was needing some water.

I am where I think most would love to be...about 15 minutes away from my favorite place on earth...Disney (please don't stone me :goodvibes)

Well, Howdy Neighbor!!! You do live close by. It takes DW and I about an 1 1/2 hrs drive to get there. That ain't too bad. We sorta like it over here by the coast. But if we were going to move............we would move in next door to you guys!!! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Lookit y'all locals! I grew up in the metro Orlando area (Pine Castle, Oviedo when it was "the country", Altamonte Springs, & Winter Park). We had the old 3-Season Salute passes when I was a kid so we were at the MK or Epcot most weekends the 3 included months out of the year. We went so much we got bored with it. Can you imagine? A 12 year old girl w/her 10 year old little sister set free in the MK for 3 or 4 hours at a whack (always met back up w/the folks near the the ice cream shop on Maint Street at our specified time) and we'd walk off trying to figure out something to do because we were bored. One of our favorite things to do was go watch the Barbie-and-the-Rocker-ish group that would play pop cover songs in the Starlight Cafe. Good times! :cool1: Although as a parent in this day & age I look back at my sis & I wandering the parks alone at 11 & 12 years old and think "wow" but times were different then....

This will be our first cruise. Myself, DH, DD(6) and DS(10) are so excited about going on our first cruise. We have watched just about every Youtube video there is about the ship. I just want to be prepared and have a general idea of where everything is on the ship before we get there. I have read through alot of the posts and I had most of the same questions. Have a great weekend! Counting down the months! :cheer2:

Hi there! Fellow noob, here! We're so psyched! :cool1:

I've been reading Dream cruise reports on the cruise line board like mad. I learned a ton about WDW from reading trip reports so I'm hoping to reap the same from all the cruise reports. I'll have to head over to YouTube to start digging through videos. So much fun!

Yes, I am trying to get my DH to at least go to Disney Quest over our spring break in three weeks. He"s is fighting it, maybe I can just add that on to the start of our cruise.
:confused3

Have fun!

Toria, I know at least a few of us are going to going to be at WDW prior to the cruise and we might try to organize a meet of some sort. Interested?
:flower3:

Greetings to the gang!

I was noticing on the threads for FE gift ideas that a lot of the individual cruise groups give themselves a name of sorts. Do we have one? If not, any ideas????

Hope everyone is having a good week thus far. Almost over! Today is our eldest son's 15th birthday. I woke up around 6 this morning and it hit me that 15 years ago just then I was on my way to the hospital all nervous & excited. What an adventure being a mom has been. I look at my amazing young man, at how grown-up he is now, and it seems like just last week he was a sweet little giggly baby.

Not the best pic but this is my boy, lots of fun & looooooves him some Krispy Kremes:

From our November WDW adventure...it doesn't seem like it was that long ago we stood our boys up in front of this crossing our fingers they'd measure up. Now he's good to go even when seated! :scared1:

Thanks for lettin' a proud mama ramble, y'all. :lovestruc

Ps. I don't know if posting links to other sites is allowed but I'm super active on another Disney forum and have 4 WDW trip reports over there. The most recent one would explain my kid in a wheelchair at WDW. **sigh** I'd post a link but I don't know if that sort of thing is allowed here. I know some of the websites frown on linking in other forums. ;) Just in case, I guess I could PM or email a link to anyone interested. :thumbsup2

Sweetpee - I don't think the DISboards will allow you to post the link to another discussion forum site. Is your username the same on the other site? I thought I would google you. Lol. Looks like your son had a knee brace on in that picture. Sports injury?

Out of our previous 3 cruises, only 1 actually had a name, and that was the 7 Blissful nights we spent aboard the Magic last fall. That cruise was known as "The Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Cruise"

For this one, how about something like "September Dreamers"? I'm not great at coming up with Fancy names. But I would be happy to try and come up with a Disign if you all would like to share your ideas!

Yep, same username on the other site. And the knee...well...not a sports related injury. I'm afraid to say...y'all might think, "What kind of mother IS this woman?!" The knee injury occured like the 3rd evening of our last trip. He spent the remainder of the trip in the wheelchair. :guilty:

I would LOVE to come up with a group name and the fact that you can do Disigns is da-bomb! I'm not the best with names either. I like "September Dreamers". Here's some others that came to mind: "Mickey's Dreamers", "Dis-Dreamers", & "Dreamers-n-Doers". I dunno. Still liking the September reference. What about "September Dreaming". Nah. Maybe that's more of a title than a name. pirate:

My family and I just got off of the Dream for a 4 night and we re-booked this cruise as a birthday present for my (Probably overly spoiled) Son, Andy :thumbsup2

He will be turning 6 the day before and we thought this would be fun for all of us. We include; myself Tony, DS Alex, DS Andy and DW Lisa. We live and work in Orlando.

We had a WONDERFUL time on the Dream and just couldn't wait another year to go again so we will see you there. Plus we have some super cool friends from work that are coming too, so party for all! :cool1:

We are booked in stateroom #9556, this will be our second Dream cruise and 4th DCL so if there are any questions I can help with, please ask. We would love to do the FE on this one also if we can?

SPOONCES
