I was on the Disney Dream a few weeks ago and at the Meridian Bar they had a red wine, on my receipt it said G Cotes du Rhone at $8.50/glass. I believe this may be a region of France, does anyone know what the exact bottle of wine this is?
Côtes du Rhône wine is a fruity, middleweight red blend based on Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The Côtes du Rhône appellation was introduced in November 1937.
$100 a bottle!! But okay, I'll give it a try one of these days for a celebratory occasion . Or maybe I take a bottle with me if I get on the Disney Treasure next year
One tip: there is something called sommelier’s bucket. You can order a white or red or sparkling wine from it and get a surprise glass. I did that a couple of times on my last cruise for sparkling and got some very high end champagne for it.
