Boarded the Dream this morning for a 3-night CC cruise. This is our 4th post-Covid cruise.
10:15 PAT, Boarding Group 3.
Arrived at 10:20 to a very long line of cars to check bags. It took about and one hour to check bags, Covid test, and park. But, on our three previous cruises it took about 45 minutes to receive Clear-to-Board, today was only about 30 minutes.
There was a long line for passport checks and security. Where in the past cruises you could board immediately once you cleared security, they are now using Boarding Groups. We arrived in the terminal at 12:05 and only Groups 1 and 2 we're boarding. Once they called Group 3, the line stretched back to the escalators. We were toward the front of group 3, but it still took another 30 minutes to finally get on board.
Total time from arrival to sitting down for lunch was 2.5 hours. Our previous 3 cruises we made it from arrival at the port to lunch in around 90 minutes.
They estimate around 1,700 passangers for this trip.
