AquaDuck is a thrilling "water coaster," whose entrance is on Deck 12, Aft aboard the Disney Dream. In a cruise industry first, Guests are propelled at high speeds from Deck 12, Aft through an acrylic tube on a breathtaking journey up, down, around and off the side of the ship, through the Forward Funnel and—following a mammoth drop—into a lazy river.

Disney said that after the "mammoth" drop, you'll end up in the lazy river. Is it just me or will there really be a lazy river? :rotfl:

I think this is one of those mistakes that Disney makes on their Disney Cruise website! :D Or is the lazy river that small, long pool that decreases your speed until you stop, so you could get up??

But, no matter what, I'm still cool with Disney.:worship: :)

I'm still excited for the Dream!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

It looks so cool!! I wish they had an elevator to the top, my knees are so bad, I wouldn't be able to climb all the stairs. :headache:

I think it is referring to the constant movement of the stream which is fast at first and slower later.

The dream will not have a traditional lazy river on it.

Either way I'm sure it will be fun and very popular and emulated on other cruise ships.

what are you talking about?? :goodvibes It said a mammoth drop INTO a lazy river… not a lazy rive during the attraction, but AFTER… :goodvibes

Because the Aquaduck is steeper at the beginning than the end. If you take a look at the side view of the ship you will see what I mean.

I'm not too sure that a lazy river would be after the ride, as it could keep the people in line for the Aqua Duck waiting longer.

Like a roller coaster, the AquaDuck takes its riders through climbs and drops, twists and turns. The ride starts with an initial drop and then swings 13 feet out over the side of the ship. For passengers who can keep their eyes open, the acrylic tube will provide a clear view of the ocean 150 feet below.

From there, passengers will move through an enclosed tunnel as they travel through the Forward funnel. They then will travel through 335 feet of river rapids that will provide a bird’s eye view of the ship’s upper decks and pools as well as of the ocean. After another drop, the water coaster feeds into the lazy river.

This is what I found when I was looking around. I think the ride is one attraction and the "lazy river" is another. :confused3

I don't see any signs of a lazy river on the deck plan… I guess we'll just have to keep waiting! popcorn::

I just assumed it meant the little flat run out pool where you'll get off the raft and out of the water.

You can see the 'lazy river' a little in this picture.
