& to experience Pirate night instead this time around... I am so excited to see our first fireworks at sea And to meet Captain Jack of course! My hero!

So now we have palo dinner on pirate night,,,, what are peoples thoughts on this? Is this a good thing because now we won't miss a dining rotation is that correct?

It depends. If you have young children and want them to see the early pirate show then dinner may clash.
Our reservation is for 7.30pm, so I'm thinking of accompanying DD15 to dinner at 5.45pm, then sending her off to Vibes while we go to Palo and hopefully we'll be done by 9.30p in time for the 9.45p Pirate show.
Vibes usually take the kids up deck to see the fireworks anyway. DD rarely stays with us for the Pirate show.

Just the wife and I for the cruise so not an issue there. I don't want to cancel the palo, I may end up trying to push it early so we can see the fireworks but as it stands looks like we will miss them.

I just called DCL, and got this info.

Semi-Formal night is night 2, our first castaway cay day. (Monday)

Pirate Night is night 4, our sea day. (Wednesday)
