Hello to all!
Well, my older son just got released from the hospital. He had appendicitis!!!!
He had his appendix removed yesterday morning on Nathan's (younger brother) graduation day! Nathan was really good about it though. He said he would much rather it happen this week and Aaron miss his graduation than next week when we're on the cruise:eek:
He is doing ok. The surgeon was able to remove it lapriscopically so it should heal fast. The Doctor said he should be fine to travel next week. Very grateful for the timing. Too close!

We are really getting excited for the trip!! I can't believe it is double digits:dance3:

Welcome to the new families. Beth, your boys are adorable. Thank you to everyone who has posted pictures. Love the ones of castaway Cay:cloud9:

Oh no! Poor guy! And what timing for his brother's graduation.
But at least he'll still cruise.
Best wishes for him to feel better quickly:wizard:

Sorry about that. I'm glad he will be ok to cruise. I know you all are happy its fixed...get well soon.

Does anybody know how to insert a video? I was going to share one of us asking Ansley if she wants to go on a cruise. But, I don't really know how. It's on Youtube.

Hi,

I wanted to find out if it is too late to join in on the FE fun? We are already planning to decorate our doors. but the FE looks like fun as well, and I could certainly put something together. I'm too new to the list so it won't let me send any private messages to sign up. :confused3

Also, I saw that some people brought cases of water bottles on board to take on shore at CC. Are we allowed to bring empty reusable bottles with us, that we can fill up at the soda station, and take those off the ship? I'm thinking more from a packing and weight perspective. Plus I have a bunch of the reusable bottles -- I swear they multiply!!!:wizard:

Can't Wait!:woohoo:

Hi! Welcome to our group! Unfortunately we closed the FE lists several weeks ago so that everyone could get their gifts ready. Many FE'rs have already left for vacation (I wish I was one of them!) As for as bottles, you can take them and fill them at the soda station. They do ask that you use one of their cups to fill your bottle. We are bringing larger plastic tumblers with lids so that we can do this too!

What an eventful week for you! Prayers for a speedy recovery. It is amazing how much more quickly they are "up and around" again after the lapriscopic procedure.

Take care and I hope there is no additional drama.

Great idea.

How about some questions of the day?

What is your favorite Disney park?

Magic Kingdom, no Epcot, no Magic Kingdom, no Epcot.:confused3

Do you have a favorite ride?

Space Mountain, but I like Living with the Land boat ride in Epcot.

A favorite show on the DCL?

The pirate show and fireworks

What is your favorite thing to do on a Disney cruise?

Hang on serenity bay and EAT and come back to a clean made up room at night.

Here are some of our pictures from our last trip to Castaway Cay. This was summer of 2009.

The classic stop at Mt. Rustmore (we all seem to have this one)

One of the boys' favorite activities - the crab races

One of my favorites - a Konk Kooler

The boys LOVED pirate night.

How about some questions of the day?

What is your favorite Disney park?

Magic Kingdom, but as the boys get older we are enjoying Epcot more.

Do you have a favorite ride?

Buzz Lightyear or Toy Story Mania. (Do you see a theme? We like Toy Story and shooting things.)

A favorite show on the DCL?

We like them all -- including Toy Story, which is often criticized as not up to the same caliber as the other stage shows. (This could be explained by our answer to the previous question.)

What is your favorite thing to do on a Disney cruise?

It's more about what I DON'T have to do while on the cruise. No cooking, no cleaning. Just enjoying time with the family. Even better this time since my parents are joining us.
