Disney Dream - June 12, 2011

As long as they are still doing the 1/2 deposits, we will probably book a dummy date. I want to do an Eastern and we would love to do one when they are in Galveston but I do not think we will do any in 2012. So I am thinking 2013. We did not rebook on our first cruise and the day after we got home, I was kicking myself for not.

:cool2: Hi, I'm Lauren! I am going to be in the tween club on the Dream this cruise and I can't wait! I can't wait to see the Edge and I think it's going to be a lot of fun. I was wondering if anyone else in the Edge wanted to talk a little because I was hoping to make some friends before I go. Thank you everyone! :)

Rob (12) will be in the Edge as well but he has not gotten in the online chatting yet.

Ahoy Admiral Donalds! I sent out hopefully the last FE update (just filling in some missing info) Sorceror Mickeys let me know if you need another list sent. There are no updates since the last round.

We will probably be booking a dummy date while on board. Just depends on the prices.
Hey! It's almost June!!!:beach::beach:
Beth

Beth, Thanks again for doing the FE lists. You have done a great job. :thumbsup2

Happy Memorial Day to everyone! And a big thank you to all the veterans!!

I can't believe it is getting so close! I agree with others who have posted it seems so unreal since we booked this in 2009!

I think the busy schedule with school's end has caused it to go faster at least for us. Nathan's graduation is this coming Thursday, then we just have one week until we fly out for Florida!

We can't wait to meet everyone on deck 13:dance3:

Less than 2 weeks away! can't believe it:)

Okay, I will take another crack at it. I am going to try and do another trip report. I've got it started, you can read it here!

Yay! I checked out your TR. I had been thinking of doing one, but probably will wait till we get back. I went to your first TR link and read a few pages and noticed you went on a mission trip to Kenya. That is my DREAM trip!! I really want to go to Africa. We went to Peru last year, and it was unbelievable! We loved it so much but it will probably be 2 more years before we go there. Our church alternates between Mexico and Peru, because we have missions in both places.

Do you have any pics of that trip anywhere, like photobucket??

Back on the Grid.

Been gone for a few days since the bad storms rolled through Ohio last week and then we left on Thursday to travel to NC for my Nephew's HS graduation. We stayed at my brother's lake house that has no cell reception so it was a good baby step not looking at my phone for three days because during the cruise it will be 5 days.

Michele, I don't know if you notice the :wave2: as we drove through Charleston WV on the way to NC. We left Cincinnati Thursday night, drove to Charleston and spent the night at the Hampton Inn downtown. We drove the rest of the way on Friday.

Now that the NC trip is over we can start working on cruise packing.

Ahoy Sorceror Mickeys! I resent the FE list, it was revised 5/15. This should be our final FE list! Time for sleep now! Still have 2 more workdays to finish paperwork nd clean the classroom!
It is almost June!!!!
Beth

Morning everyone!

Busy weekend for us. Think all our shopping is finally done. I finished up the FE gifts. And we picked up my daughter's new to her car. We're not letting her drive it until we get some new tires on it but she's still pretty excited. I'm excited not to have to be without a car when she has plans. (I don't like my husbands car :P)

Rose - I'm bringing a pair of nicer capris for dinner. If that's not good enough too bad. Personally, I don't care what anyone wears to dinner. As long as nothing's showing that shouldn't be showing ;) It's vacation. Relax and enjoy.

Not sure if we'll book a dummy date on board or not. Thinking we won't. Unless my husband really loves cruising.

I'm sure there's more I was going to comment on but haven't had caffeine yet.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Hi everyone. Well, I am sitting in my living room as packers are packing up my house. My DH, Rob, is down in Valrico, FL, closing on our house. We will move in there right after the cruise. The movers will be here tomorrow to take everything away--yeehaa!

Graduation is Friday and until then---chaos! :rotfl:

Can someone please post again where and when all the dis meets are happening? On Saturday night, we are staying a CI&S, so if there is a meet there, we may make it. Not sure though, as it will be our last night at WDW, so the kids may choose to stay late...

My DD18, Emily, is finishing up the FE gifts today. I have had nothing to do with them, so please be forgiving, as it is her first time. She is just putting together a little taste of Louisiana for y'all. Nothing extravagant, but a little fun, nonetheless.

We are so proud of her, as we found out this week that she is the Salutatorian of her class, and will get to meet Mrs. Obama, the guest speaker for graduation (sorry if I am repeating myself). Apparently, she is a big supporter of military families, so she contacted our school (Quantico High School, Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA) to come and speak at graduation. We are thrilled for Emily because she has worked so hard these 4 years. In the Fall, she will attend LSU, majoring either in speech pathology or special education. She is not sure yet, but she knows she wants to work with special needs children.

Ok, sorry to go on and on, but honestly, I am always a little unnerved when we move.....so I am using the DIS as a DIStraction..:goodvibes

Morning! I love your haven't had caffeine yet so I can't comment fully statement. :) That is the first place I will check out on the Dream - the
adult coffee place. Cove Café I love you! I don't really drink much soda pop anymore but I do love a latte. Everyday. Must have.

So I just went to look at a picture of the Cove café on the DCL website. The interactive floor plan is a really fun feature, has everyone seen this? I like the 360 viewer. Ok, so maybe I should be out weeding, but this is way more fun!

Where do you go to book a cruise on board? I imagine you should not say the phrase dummy date, or maybe they don't care?

Off to grab my own latte from the home café, :)

Well good luck with your move! And Congrats to your daughter. What a great memory that graduation will make. I hope you will want to post a photo (even if you can't until July).

Here is the meet info. I copied it from the first page of this thread where Crystal keeps it updated:

Cruise Meets
DIS Meet - 3:00 p.m. on June 12th on Deck 13 at the family area near Currents
"A Progressive Disser" Room Tour - 2 p.m. on Sea Day; meet at a location TBD

Pre- and Post-Cruise Meets
Friday, June 10, 2011 - MK at 1:00 p.m. at Aloha Isle, home of the Dole Whip, in Adventureland
Saturday, June 11, 2011 - Radisson at 7:00 p.m. at the pool
Saturday, June 11, 2011 - Country Inn & Suites at 8:00 p.m. at the pool

I am the instigator for the Dole Whip mini meet - I imagine we will meet from 1-1:30 eating a Dole whip. I will try to get there at 12:45 and I'll be carrying a lime green small size gift bag. I'll probably write "Double Dipper" on it. Or what was it that someone told me to do? :rotfl:

For the room tour, I forget if 3DAN set a meeting spot; I'll go back and look.

Happy Move!

Just checking in :surfweb:I can't find the FE list:confused3 does anyone know were it is hiding :wizard:Hope to meet many of you on the cruise:grouphug: only 12 more days :banana::banana:WOW

What a ding dong I am! I should have looked on the first post!!:headache::headache::rotfl:

Hi everyone

I have been lurking some but not posting :guilty: Congrats to all the graduates and their wonderful accomplishments! I started quoting all these and it just got silly so congratulations to everyone. :thumbsup2:rotfl:

We are getting so close!! :woohoo: I'm looking at the tickers on your posts and getting all butterfly-ish

I will admit I haven't 'technically' packed anything. We have an over-the-door shoe organizer from last cruise that needs to be "replenished" and I have thrown some things into my suitcase that already had some stuff from my FL trip earlier this month..& that's it. Oh and I bought some sunblock, and gathered the FE items. :rolleyes1

The goal will be to have everyone packed and ready to go by Sunday evening, because who knows what the week will bring at work last minute :headache: What's nice is our flight leaves Friday around 5:30pm, so that gives us most of that day to grab last minute stuff. :thumbsup2 That will be SOO much better than stumbling out the door to go to the airport at (the typical) 5:00 AM :scared::upsidedow
:banana::banana: Getting excited!! 12 days!! :banana::banana:

Paige, it's a good thing you have a cruise to relax on in the midst of all this chaos! :rotfl: So happy you are going to Florida! :yay:
