Disney Dream - Is there a formal night

We are leaving on the Dream in 2 weeks and was wondering if there are any formal nights. My husband didn’t want to pack a suit if he didn’t have to. This is our first Disney cruise so we are not doing any speciality dining.

Yes, optional...... see a few very formal, majority are smart/dressed up and minority dressed very casual

DCL is not Cunard. Even when there is a formal night, something that only happens on 7-nights+ cruises, it is optional. On shorter cruises, there is an ‘optional dress up’ evening with most guests bringing out an outfit a step above casual dress. Some go all out and some simply do not care.

Do a lot of people dress up for pirate night. Debating on buying my daughter a pirate costume
