Enjoying our visit with pahrumpgirl and trying to recover from this hideous cold that I contracted 4 weeks ago!!

Hi Folks

Just thinking back to last year at this time

We were getting off the Wonder this morning (November 1). We were headed to Magic Kingdom for the last Not So Scary Halloween Party. Just like the last time we were at Disney for the party my daughter came home with about 30 pounds of candy, it became a seperate piece of luggage on the plane.

But this year Halloween was met with a temperature of just above freezing
3 C or about 38 F.....brrr. Much colder than the day we Trick or Treated on the ship in Nassau, that is for sure.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween and can't wait for some warmer temperatures on the cruise.

What school district are your kids in? My DD is in Upper St Clair, and I've never had problems getting her an excused absence for educational trips. Last year I got 2 excuses for WDW, and 1 for a Mexico cruise. So far this year, we got 1 for a long weekend in Boston. We're flying from PGH non-stop Mon night, and home on the 30th on the 1:45 Southwest flight - have to change planes on the way back though.

Brandon is a freshman at Baldwin. My older son went there a while ago and it was not a big deal. Now everyone has a strict homework policy and for unexcused absences they might not take the work because it is late, so you get a 0. I have to write a letter about the educational value of the cruise---anyone have a letter or want to help?
We are flying out Tues night and praying the weather won't be bad. I am holding out to see what to do on Sunday coming back. Southwest used to have an afternoon nonstop but I see it is gone.

I think what it's doing is showing me the time I already have booked (and telling me it conflicts with my existing booking) thinking that I might be changing it...which I'm not!!!

That being said, something still may open up....my motto...check early and check often!!!
