Was just browsing the deck plan for our upcoming Dream cruise - 27th August 2024 (5 night Southampton to Spain)... and noticed that Edge no longer appears on the deck plan, but the much rumoured suite instead!

I'm guessing this was updated in error as I expect it will only get changed during the dry dock. Although it's interesting to note that when trying to book a concierge room for this pre-dry-dock cruise, it lists the rooms as being located on decks 10, 11 or 12!

Good catch

DCL is choosing to really ignore kids over 10... My guess is DCL cuts Vibe in half and put Edge in the one part. Vibe is tiny on the Wish class ships already so it looks like the plan is to make it tiny on the Dream class as well. And when you consider Lookout Cay has no Hideout (teen space but also taken over by Edge), No 'In Da Shade" which often appeals to that age, and the new waterslide and splash pad were clearly designed for little ones and is not anywhere close to Pelican Plunge... the writing is on the wall with how DCL views families with kids over 10.

Yeah it's a shame if that is the case, our 11 year old was planning to enjoy one last time in the Oceaneers' Club with his brothers but with the recent age changes he won't be able to do that now. He seems fine about going to Edge but the whole strategy with the 10+ age segment seems a bit strange right now.

So I've heard that years ago the Oceaneers Club and Lab were more separated than they are today and were meant for different age groups. I have to wonder if they are going back that direction and will turn the Lab into Edge and the younger kids will just have the club. This is totally speculation on my part because I don't know where else they would put Edge. I suppose if they did a really cool remodel of each maybe that would be okay but definitely interested to see what happens.
