Has anyone stayed on Deck 2 with positive results? We are avid cruisers but this will be our first Disney cruise. We have had balcony rooms on our last few cruises but our finances are forcing us to stay in an inside cabin on deck 2. I'm scared that we will be miserable and should possibly just wait until we can afford a better room.

There is a few threads on this topic, and many say that you feel less motion on Deck 2, and it's close to most of the public spaces on Deck 3.

We stayed on deck 2 on the Wonder last year and it was fine. No problems whatsoever. I was surprised how quiet it was. We never heard anyone next to us, or people walking up and down the hall. We just booked a stateroom on the Dream for next March on Deck 2. I'm hoping it's similar to our experience on the Wonder!!!

We have been on 7 DCLs (Magic and Wonder), one more booked for Feb '11, and stayed on Deck 2 on each one. Never had a problem with noise. The Dream has a newer drive system that is different from the older ships. It is suppost to be even more quiet.

We were on deck on the Magic and our Dream for next year. We tried for an inside room for a b2b, but had to get an outside porthole room. We try for a low deck, middle of the ship because dh gets motion sick. He's never got sick on a cruise, but why take chances.

It is very quiet and you get early dibs on the elevator. We try and take the stairs whenever possible so we can eat whatever we want.

We were deck 2 midship on the wonder last may and LOVED it. Location wise it's the best cabin we have had.

We're booked in room 2045 (an inside cabin). I'm concerned because it's the last room before you reach the Enchanted Garden and there are no other inside rooms around it. I'm not quite sure what will be surrounding us. Stairs, elevators??

We have been on 3 DCL cruises, all on deck 2. I think we had 2030 and 2032. We choose them because of the location near but not too near stairs and elevators. Also checked deck plans to see that we were not under a dance floor or restaurant. :cool1:
We love deck 2!! Sh... don't tell everyone how quiet it is!

We stayed on deck 2 in cabin 2010 on our Med Cruise pirate:
We booked a CAT 12 (inside) GTY and were thrilled with the upgrade.
We had no noise or motion problems--was very quiet and loved being close to the elevators ! Had the large porthole window so we had plenty of light and loved looking out at the water and sometimes a close wave or 2 !!!!

We also had rooms 2032 and 2030! Loved them so much, we booked the same ones for the Dream.
I tried to get 2030 for this upcoming trip on the Wonder, but wasn't able to.
Love, love, love deck 2!! Perfect location for everything.

I've stayed in deck 2 on the Wonder and loved it. I was located practically under wavebands, so it was noisy at night, but my friends and I were in wavebands at night so we didn't really care. DW and I have deck 2 booked for the Magic and I know it will be fine. My brother and his family (including 2 daughters) stayed all the way at the front on deck 2 and loved it. I think it's a very convenient deck on the Magic and Wonder.

However, the OP is asking about deck 2 on the Dream. I'm sorry tkalita, but with the Dream still being built, there is no one that can say for sure what the room or the deck will be like. :confused3

Some great replies...thank you! I just looked at what would be above us and it will be the Atrium. Works for me! I understand that nobody has personal experience with this room though. I'll report back when I find out!!
