Pulled one of our piece of luggage out of the storage room today for DD to start loading stuff into..
Am I the first to get luggage out? We leave Aug 24for WDW

We leave on Saturday for a 4 week trip to the US and I have not even started packing yet.
I have organized FE gifts for all 3 cruises we take though - does that count?

Tina , I'm really sorry you did not get your papers . Just in case I ask my TA the ? if i do not get my papers will they let me on the ship ? Yes she said just bring everything the pre boarding paper that was filled out and all the papers you have including all ID's and passports . hope this can relax you a bit

I finally got ahold of the TA today. She said if her office doesnt have the docs. from Disney by Thurs., she'll make arrangements to have them sent directly by Disney to me. So everyone keep their fingers crossed!

Am I the last one waiting for docs?

Pulled out the suit bag and picked out the dresses I'll be wearing for Palo, dress-up night...but that's about it. I'm usually at least partially packed by now so I guess I"m behind! LOL.

Glad to see everyone had fun at the NYC meet Just a quick FYI to those with little kids... Gymboree has just released their halloween gear, and they have the cutest sets of pirate pjs for boys and girls... Thinking about grabbing a couple of pairs for my little ones for the pirate party, as it will be waaaaay past their bedtime. Into the final countdown here

i went looking for the gymbo pj's last weekend, and our store didn't have any!! do you think it will be too warm for them? the rest of us all have tshirts to wear for piratenite...but nothing for the little one. i thoght the jammies are a great idea too, since he'll fall asleep shortly after the party...if not during! lol!

Hi Everyone I just want to ask Everyone a Favor We have a Birthday kid on departure day and i think it would be a nice Idea if we can maybe get her a few birthday cards ?
it is Max1 daughter Maxine she is turning 9 on departure day and i thought a little extra magic would make it even more special

i'm right on track with you! we pulled ours out saturday and i even went ahead and packed a few things in them. mostly just dressy outfits for dinners cuz we still need our summer stuff too. i can't wait!! i usually am a very bad procrastinator, so this is way ahead of schedule for me!!

that's how i usually am!! i usually end up packing the nite or two before our trips. i think you having that many fish extenders all organized def counts towards your packing!!

i didn't realize that there were quite a few NYers here on our thread. we are ny too but we'll be flying out of rochester. we usually go from buffalo cuz my bro lived there. now that he moved, we tend to use our teeny tiny local airport or we go to rochester

anyways, hope everyone is doing good! we will be in florida 2 weeks from today. i'm sure it will be a looong trip down, as the airlines kept changing our flight times. we have a pretty long layover now...and have to deal with 6 kids in the airport...fun fun1!
got my door magnets all done today, and kids have them hanging on our back door and on our fridge. getting really excited to start this trip!!

Ya wanna know what's nuts? We have a bunch of NYers on this cruise... but on the thread for the 2012 Disney Magic cruise I am taking that leaving from NY... I am the only NYer so far! Go figure!

Still working like mad... in fact I just finished working and its midnite (summer is my busy season)... so I have not done the luggage or anything like that yet.

For sure we'll be doing last minute packing.

We leave Aug 19 and my luggage is still in the basement. My kids keep asking me can we bring up the luggage and I keep saying...not yet, not yet. We also need our summer clothes and I guess I'm not ready to start packing, plus my daughter still has to finish her AP work so that's putting a damper on my packing. I keep reminding her that the work is not vacationing with us.

Yes Tina we are flying from Buffalo We are staying at the Best Western axross the street from the airport and fly 7:30am with SW on the 25th
Buffalo is one of my favourite airports. 10X better than flying from Toronto

We leave Aug 19 and my luggage is still in the basement. My kids keep asking me can we bring up the luggage and I keep saying...not yet, not yet. We also need our summer clothes and I guess I'm not ready to start packing, plus my daughter still has to finish her AP work so that's putting a damper on my packing. I'm really a pain to my wife about packing early since 3 trips back we were up all night doing wash the day before and just zip up the last luggage as car service pulled up . I was stressed about it and vowed this would not happend again . even tho we have forgot 1-2 small things the last 2 years but nothing major that we could not buy in disney .

I'm a notorious last minute packer! I don't usually forget anything even though last DCL cruise I forgot our FE gifts . I noticed on the way to the airport, turned around, picked them up and still made it to the airport early! This year I'm sending my FE gifts ahead to the hotel.

I'm staying near the airport the night before the cruise at the Residence Inn. I got a great rate through American Airlines using some of my miles. I couldn't pass it up.

I hear you! One time my husband was packing the car and forgot one of the suitcases. Thankfully it wasn't too crucial, but still I actually opened up one of the suitcases and stuck in our fish extender, collapsable hamper and snorkeling stuff. We're driving so having an extra suitcase isn't a big deal. I"m also going to throw in some water since I don't like Evian (which is what they sell onboard).

We leave in 16 days. WHOO HOO!!!!!
