A 1968 wouldn't FIT in the freezer. But I can't wait for you to see him. He's really gorgeous and I'm so sad that he's gone. His mate was here looking for him yesterday. :sad1:

You could take your two wives this spring!! :lmao:

well you could just walk around the ship ????????
I know of someone who will be doing that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND LUV N every minute of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm betting that's what I will be doing. I'd really like to go with Stuart Cove's, but they cut it too close to needing to be back onboard.
I just can't stand the thought of not getting in the ocean though!

Stacey do we need to bubble wrap you if you plan on walking around the ship? :rotfl2: :confused3 :lmao: :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Why do you have a roadrunner in your freezer? That's just crazy.

I'm thinking you'll have a better shot at May than April. Since Easter is so late in April it's really messed up spring break schedules and thus for making a longer spring break season.

Garry how did Vicki make out doing her walk this weekend? Thought of her several times and all the good she was doing.

Bubble wrap might work. And I was SO careful BEFORE that cruise, too. :sad2:

We found a roadrunner near the carport, apparently died of natural causes. Didn't appear to be a thing wrong with him. So we put him in a box in the freezer and called a taxidermist. They're pretty excited, I don't think they've ever done a roadrunner before.
Now that I think about it, I hope he wasn't just taking a nap!

I take it not many people have a stuffed roadrunner then? Never knew having one was such a big deal. :confused3

It's pretty rare to even see a live one, and they're protected, so they can't be hunted. Generally, if you see a dead one, it's been hit by a car. And I've only seen that twice. So this guy is in perfect condition. His feathers and coloring are beautiful.
This is Cave Creek....we LIKE the odd stuff!! Stuffed.

Here I thought when I saw a roadrunner it wasn't a big deal, now I know better. We saw one when checking into a hotel....can't think of hte name of the town....where the London Bridge is. Is was just sitting in the car port area at the main entrance. It was cute.

So where are you going to put the dude after he's been stuffed?

While I have learned so much from you all (like how to be T.O.P.) I do believe we are now going to be on a different cruise.

While my daughter really wanted to turn 13 on a Disney Cruise we have decided to try a four day cruise this time. We have been on 2 three day cruises so this will be a real treat.

First 3 day cruise we got off to a rough start. We sat in the parking lot for two hours because someone had left behind luggage and dogs had smelled something on it so the port was shut down. So by the time we finished the lifeboat drill thing our kids (3&6 at the time) had to have a nap so we missed our dinner time. Then after the day at Castaway Cay my DS had a fever and we missed the pirate party. Still it was the best vacation ever. My DD turned 7 on the last night (it was quite magical). We all loved the cruise!

Our next cruise, my DD, who tends to get stomach things on vacation due to eating different, got sick. (We now make sure she takes a probiotic and no problems) We only ate one night in the main dining. We missed the pirate party again. Both times we only made it to one show. But once again we still loved it.

So we are looking forward to getting to see a couple more shows and eating at the resturants. Let's pray that everyone stays healthy and the weather is great.

We are very excited about exploring the new ship. And Castaway Cay is one of our favorite places!

See you around the disboards :)

Lake Havasu.
I actually think on the whole, that roadrunners aren't all that attractive....but our guy is really a good specimen.
Probably put him on the fireplace mantel. Megan's afraid that it will scare Ronan, or that he'll tear it apart.

Lake Havasu....that's it.
To me it just looked like a funny bird, nothing real special.
First off when is she bringing R & R to see the bird and second how will get up on the mantle to get it down? She's a silly bird herself.
When Alexa and Tommy were little, there were 2 stuffed ducks above the fireplace at the beach and they didn't even notice them let alone try and climb up to them. Now the ones outside, that was a different story.....Alexa has always loved ducks and tried to catch them.

They're waiting to hear what days Dave will get off at Christmas, so they can come down. But he also got a new job, so he may not get any time off.
I decided to put it on the mantel/mantle ;) after Megan was having a fit about where to put it.
But then, with four dogs, waaay up high is probably the best idea.:rolleyes1
