DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

Our favorite part of our last cruise was the Couple Choice massage package at the Spa. We had the romance package booked so we had our special breakfast that morning, then went on the the massage about 10:30/11 I think.

Enjoyed it enough that hubby was firm about booking it again for this cruise, and when I threw out the idea of doing something different (and a little cheaper :lmao:) ie the Castaway Couples Cabana Massage - his response was - lets do both! :rotfl:

So far we've got the following booked:

Castaway Couple Cabana Massage
Castaway 2 day getaway package
Couples Choice Massage
Watercraft Ski Double
Palo Dinner

Nothing planned for Nassau, we may get off the boat and wander or we may see about doing a 1-day spa pass.

I know hubby would be interested in the beer tasting if they have that again. I'd like to do a towel folding class if offered; not so sure we'd do the wine tasting again - did that last time and was so so about it. Nice pin tho:goodvibes

and btw, I am sure that I am going to call you phil when we finally meet because that's what I keep calling you in my head whenever i see your posts.
Same here!

We did the Martini tasting and really enjoyed it. Hoping we can do it again.

It's Monday! Usually, I am excited about heading off to Zumba class on Monday morning, today I just want to go to Hobby Lobby/Joanns for FE supplies lol! I have issues.

Thought i'd start our monday off right with a peek at our Happy Place. Wrong ship, right island! We'll be there soon, my friends!!

Have a great day!

Now THAT is the perfect way to start a Monday! I want to rent 1 of those water trikes with DS who's 7. We may do a paddle boat for 4, but I have fears of the kids jumping off the back! Does anyone know if they have seat belts?? Or would that be a safety risk (if it ever flipped over and the kids were belted in??):confused3

I am having a crappy start to my week - still home from work (10 days post major surgery) which is not a BAD thing but I have to go to the doctor's for follow up later today and I have to drive so I can't take any pain meds (not that I'm taking a lot, but even 1 Percocet means no driving). To top it off I got a letter from Medicaid re: my dad's application (he's recently been moved to a nursing home from assisted living) and they are looking for a TON of information. Problem is, I only have so much. My dad was managing on his own pretty much until late last fall when he took a 'mental' turn for the worse. He's only 67 but completely NUTS. He's also NOT been a part of my life for close to 40 years and I'm the only one who didn't throw my hands up when he started having trouble, trying to help him out and now I find myself totallyi responsible for a guy I really don't even like. So Medicaid is looking for tons of info and I have no clue. I called the woman and she was nasty about it like I'm supposed to have all these ducks lined up. I finally said to her "listen.... I have NOTHING and can try but if you deny him, he's ont he street". Anyway... trying to dig through boxes and piles of paper is a bit too much for me t his morning since I'm still recovering myself. I've been at it for 2 hrs and I'm ready for a NAP!!!! BOY do I need this vacation!!!

In the meantime, I'll go lie down and dream about our wonderful Disney cruise that is LESS than 2 months away!!!!! :cheer2:

I know how you feel. I am a little bit of a wimp and had gotten too hot last night and tried to turn the a/c on. It's broken!!!!! What will I do.... So I opened all the windows and went to bed only to wake up to a 47 degree house. This weater is killing me.

We are just across the river in Bunker Hill, which is a really small town about 15 minutes from Alton. So, I feel your pain.

It does look, temp. wise anyway, that we are do for a beautiful weekend. So the flops are staying out for me....

Anyone else plan on doing the 5k on castaway cay? I normally wouldn't run on vacation, but my dh has been running for a year and been nagging - I mean encouraging - me to start running. He tried to get me to sign up for a 5k locally, but I promised him I would make the castaway cay 5k my first. And I haven't even been training.

I started running back in Sept - doing the C25K program. I got terrible shin splints. I would be sitting down and my legs were killing me. It took about 6 weeks for the pain to go away. Then I had to get my gallbladder taken out. Then I was so so busy with work in December. I haven't started back yet.

Hi everyone. We've been told by our TA & by Disney that our flight arrival at 1pm still gives us time to meet the transfers & make it to the ship but I hate the idea of all that rushing. Guess it is all booked thru Air Canada Vacations so it's their responsibility to get us there on time...haha. Just wish I had started looking sooner & booked a hotel for the the day before. On the positive side...I doubt there'll be any lineups when we get there!!

Is anyone else flying into MCO on the day of our cruise?

You should be fine. You will not need to worry about picking up your bags, so you should be on the road before 2pm and it is only a 45 minute ride from the airport. You might want to pack plenty of snacks since the boat stops all services (including food) at 3:30 in preparation for the emergency drill at 4pm.

I have the C25K program but can't consistently do it to make any progress. Plus, I really do NOT enjoy running. If they do a ZUMBA class onboard, though, I'll totally be there :)

evening everyone!
its gloomy windy and about to STORM here on the gulf coast, making me wish I was in the sun on a boat with Mickey!
I am in serious cardio and strength training mode to get ready for tank tops and swimsuits.
Its good motivation and getting me excited for the trip!
Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Testing Disney knowledge: where is this? We did this on a roll call from another cruise and thought it was fun.

We are. Our flight gets in at noon. One of us will run to McDonalds to get nuggest for the kids while the other goes to DCL Transport and checks in. Figured between the flight and transfers, we won't get ON the ship until 2-2:30 and the kids won't make it that long to eat something. If I feed them when we get on the ship, they won't eat dinner (we have early seating). I, on the other hand, can't wait to try sushi from Cabanas!!! I'm a seafood nut, LOVE the peel & eat shrimp, and want some crab if they have that too (Im going solely on pics I've seen posted).

I obviously have no Disney knowledge :rotfl2: I even tried to google and got nowhere.

Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster waiting to walk into the "studio". We LOVE that. Have often tried to figure out if we could make one.

that's my favorite ride too :hippie:

Good job Angie. Anyone else have any pics that would be fun to guess where it was taken?
