Hi Everyone.

I am REALLY late to this board. And by no means do I expect to be added to a fish extender.

I just find it nice to be able to connect to a group of folk.

I am cruising for the very first time in my life! In fact, my DH is the only one with cruising experience (he was in the NAVY!) I will be with my dh, dd12, ds10, dd4, my mom, and my sister. Of the seven of us, my immediate family of five will be in room 12024. We are thrilled!

My main goal is to relax and learn to have fun again. This is a special cruise for the entire family. Late last year we lost my dad to metastatic lung cancer. All 7 of us devoted the entire year to taking care of him the way he had taken care of us his whole adult life. While this cruise was already planned as my birthday gift even before Dad received his diagnosis, it now has new meaning for each of us.

If it's still possible, I would love to attend the gathering-- and especially since I have been wondering who was the lucky duck to get 12000!!!

I am so sorry for your loss... I hope this cruise is a precious time of remembering, healing and celebrating with your family. Sounds like your father was a wonderful man... what a gift.

I am glad you found us! My question is... does your family want to do the FE? I certainly am not speaking for everyone, but I know we would love to include you in our FE festivities if you'd like. My family is super excited for it, and I'm sure yours would be too! You could add yourselves to the FE spreadsheet and have it known that whoever can, will include you all... and whoever can't, won't. We have a relatively small list, so I think a few more would add to the fun! Up to you... just know you are welcome and whoever can will include you.

My family would LOVE to participate in the FE. Given how late we are joining, I understand that not every family will be able to accommodate us; however, we will definitely include everyone. This gives us yet another thing to look forward to on the cruise.

I already added our names to the Master list. I will return to the spreadsheet and add my family of 5 to the FE.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to go on the cruise. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and my doctors think that it will be best for me to stay home. I was really hoping that I could meet some of you guys. My DD and her friend are going with one of my friends. They'll still be doing the FE and she said that if you guys need someone to pass out the lanyards or wristbands, she would be willing to do it.

We have 11 Cabins Participating -

one side note about my (KrisannB's) - I have myself, DH, my 2 kids and my cousin Lizzi listed - Lizzi is actually staying with my aunt and uncle and her dad in another cabin but I want to include her so I will give a separate gift on her behalf in our gift bag and her gifts can be left with our things at the Concierge desk. I listed my MIL as a separate person but she is actually in our cabin but she will be giving a separate gift from us. Hope that makes sense.

We have a total of 40 individuals in the FE:

Adults: 16

Under 3: 1

Preschoolers(3-5): 4

School Age (6-10): 5

Tweens (11-13): 11

Teens (14-18): 3

Good morning everyone! I want to let everyone know about the wristbands. I ordered the wristbands as a generic info: Cruising with DIS Friends - they are lime green - I am also on the the cruise before this - and we ordered them also - so I paid the extra and included our group (long story about it because of Chinese New Year) - anyway - on this group everyone but one cabin is participating in the FE so I decided that this will be my FE gift to everyone (the one cabin not doing it are on the one before so they will already have them).

I will hand them out during the meet (since it is in my room) to everyone who comes.

I guessed based on age for the wrist size (they have child(very tiny) - youth - adult) for everyone but I ordered extra so I will have extras to swap out if someone needs a bigger/smaller size.

So now everyone knows what my FE gift is BUT that is just from my family, I am also buying and giving gifts from my MIL and my cousin Lizzi (11) so there will still be surprises!

It was cost prohibitative for such a small group (total of 40 but not everyone wanted them so it would have been less - but still need about 100 at least to make it not be so pricey!

So what we will have to identify each other are the wrist bands - they are my FE gift to everyone (as all but one group is doing FE (and they are on the feb. 27 cruise so will already have them) - they are lime green and say "Cruising with DIS Friends" on them.

I will pass them out at the meet in my room (and if you need a different size you can exchange it out then).

I will have a special bag up for you and will give it to your daughter to bring home to you, if that is ok, with your wristband and someother things.

Hi,

I joined the thread a few weeks and lost track. Now we are just over a week away. I know we are WAY too late for the FE but if there any meets we can participate in that would be great.

This is our first cruise and would love to meet up with other DISers. Hoping to meet some cruise buddies for DS5.

I just realized that some of you are also doing the Feb27th cruise. Lucky you! Well if you haven't left already, have a great trip!!
