Disney Dream 12/19/2012

We found a three pocket hanging organizer for the fish hook exchange. Anybody have any website references for fh gifts. Got to get started soon. To clarify the fh exchange, we produce on gift for each participant in the exchange?

Thanks

So excited to cruise - this is our first time! Just joined the FB group and will be putting our names on the FE list!! 17 of us will be traveling but in our immediate family it is my husband Dale, me (Susan) and our 3 kids: Lindsey (12), Jared (8) and Lea (8). We are traveling with the rest of my family which includes 5 cousins that range in age from 3-11. See You Real Soon!!!!

Newbie here! Hi everyone! We just booked this cruise today as a "family Christmas gift" and we're SO excited!!! My travel party includes myself, my husband and my 14 year old son. This will be our first cruise ever! For now, we're not planning to let my son know what is going on. We're leaving for the airport as soon as he finishes his final exams for the semester and that MAY be when he finds out about it. We're flying in on the 18th, spending the night at the airport Hyatt, cruising, then heading to the parks for a few days :-)

Look forward to hearing about your trip plans and maybe having the chance to meet some of you in person on board!

This will be our very first cruise and DH wants to make it a surprise for our DD (10) and it is driving me crazy! Think we will tell her we are going to WDW but will do the Dream (which is her dream!) later "since you have to book so far out". Hoping to have Cinderella break the news to her the day before at breakfast at WDW (the castle). What do you think? Am curious about the FE's and other ideas for connecting my never-lonely-only with other kids on cruise. Any help for this newbie would be appreciated! Thanks. :cool1:

We went to my son's first marching band performance at the first football game of the season. What was their first song? Cupid Shuffle. They played that song during the castoff party on the Magic in June!!!! The band started playing it tonight and I wanted to start jamming in the seats just like I did on the Magic!! Made me think about the cruise all during the game, can't wait!! If you don't know the song yet, listen to it and start practicing the line dance, because you'll want to jump up and dance in December!

This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise. Booked over a year ago. Woo Hoo! Our 1st Cruise happened to be a last minute "deal" back in 1/2010. We woke our boys up, drove them to airport (yep, they thought we were going to Disney), then SURPRISED them:banana:and got on the Wonder for a (3) night cruise.

Here is our list of "JingleDREAMERS":
Me (Tinkertrips)
DH
DS 11
DS 9

Can't wait to do the FE!! It's gonna be like a scavenger hunt! Too FUN!!

Made our reservation for Palo brunch. Anyone else here going to the brunch?

We are so excited to being going on our second Disney Dream cruise! Last one was our 25th anniversary - hard to beat that one! Pretty sure Christmastime Disney cruise will be just as great. 2 rooms with 3 grandkids is going to be non-stop fun!

Hello -

My family will be going on this Disney Cruise. It will be the first Disney cruise for all of us. We will also be going to Disney for a week before hand and that is a first for our kids as well. This will be their first time on a plane, resort, ship, etc. so you can imagine the excitement. My boys are 6 and 3. Is the FB group open for newcomers? I have lots of questions to ask all the seasoned Disney goers.... :)

Anyone know when Pirate night will be? When I went on the 2 night cruise to nowhere in June, the online itinerary posted it, but while the castoff party is listed as an activity, there is no Pirate night. I know we're itinerary C, but is Pirate night Castaway day, or Nassau? I want to plan Palo away from that, because we missed it in June.

I was able to book the Palo brunch for us..can't wait :goodvibes Does anyone know for sure if they open up more spots on excursions? I forgot to book the fishing excursion for dh and our daughter and now it's sold out. I guess I will keep checking and hopefully something will becme available..if not I'll find something else for them :confused3

From all the old navigators that I could see under staterooms up top in red...then navigators....looks like pirates night is always on castaway cay day. The navigators are all from 2011 so assuming they dont change anything.

Couple of questions

1. How do we find out room numbers of people who get assigned rooms close to or on the day of departure? Not sure if I will have internet access after the 17th of Dec

2. When do we close the fish extender list and get a ginal head count....week before? 2 weeks? Month?

I believe we have decided to close the list on Oct 31. I am not sure what the protocol is on late room assignments. You should be able to get to the google document if you have a smart phone up until we leave port.
