Does anyone know exactly where they sell the bags at the parks?

They had some in the Emporium and also in one of the other shops at the bottom of Main Street

They also have them in the Disney shops in Downtown Disney.

They have them in lots of shops in limited amounts in the parks.


They have tons in Vault 28 in DTD.

Vault 28 in Downtown Disney has the largest selection.
World of Disney is probably a close second.
I think the shops in the parks that do carry Dooney's generally only have one or two of the collections, I don't think any of them have the full line available like Vault 28 does.


I believe these are the Disney Dooney & Bourke collections that are available in the parks right now:

DL 55th Anniversary (sold only at DLR)
White sketch (the original pattern)
Colored sketch (purple, blue, pink, yellow, green)
Wonder (black w/Mickey silhouettes)
Tonal (more Mickey silhouettes, in browns/tans)
Princess (with black or white background)
Peace, Love, Mickey (in blue or pink)

I'm not sure whether the Blue Mickey faces and Pink Minnie faces are available anymore or not. I don't remember seeing them last time I was there, but I'm not a fan of either of those collections, so maybe I just didn't notice them.

There's also a new Mickey Balloon design (with black or white background) that is available at WDW, but nothing from that collection has shown up at DL... yet. I'm sure it will eventually.

I agree with cats mom regarding the selection at the different locations. If you are particular about how the pattern looks, etc., I suggest going to Vault 28 since they have more than one purse of each style out on the floor, unlike the World of Disney which only has one of each out store them backstage.

I did see the Blue Mickey faces and Pink Minnie faces at the World of Disney when I was there 10/23 and 10/24.

I liked how Vault 28 had a bunch out to look at, but when I was there, there were several that had the leather all scratched up from everyone handling them.

At WOD they are brand new and wrapped in the plastic. The CM brought out 2 different bags for me to choose from. I took a little bit of a chance on the pattern placement because I couldn't see the entire purse (under the flap), but could see the front and the back and was happy with that.

I liked the fact that it was brand new coming out of the package.

I definitely agree with the bolded statement. It's great to have so many to choose from, but when they are all out in the open like that, damage is bound to happen.

I got my wristlet from WOD but the tote I got back in NOS and the CM brought me out 2 to choose from as well and I got one with the placement that I liked. I'm kind of fickle about stuff like that. I wanted it brand new, never been touched. If I'm spending that kind of money, anyway.

There is a store called "China" I think..... in Magic Kingdom. It is on one of the little side streets off Main Street. We were there last night and they had a ton of them. Different designs, patterns, etc. I saw them in the doorway and went in but DS (4) threw a fit, so we had to leave.

I'm a Louis and Prada girl but the D&Bs are CUTE! I'm really leaning towards one as my Disney day purse. I've got an Angels game purse, why not a Disney purse

I got mine at World of Disney and they had them in a display case where they sell the jewelry and when I picked the one I wanted they brought me a brand new one out of the back that was all wrapped in plastic. I don't know if all stores do this but this is def the way to go I would think. That way you get a brand new one still in the plastic!!

That probably is ideal if you're buying a bag from one of the collections where pattern placement doesn't make much difference, or if you're not picky about that.

But with some of the collections I think pattern placement makes a huge difference in the feel of the bag, and personally I'm far too picky to buy one without making sure I like the specific placement first, that's just me though. I admit I often have to look at dozens of bags before finding the one that speaks to me.

I've bought several Dooney's from Vault 28. I always inspect them closely, and I've never found one that I thought looked bad from handling. Maybe I've just been lucky.

When we were on our Disney Cruise, my DH saw me looking at the Dooney & Burke bags in one of the gift shops. On the last day of the cruise, we were in the gift shop getting gifts and he walked me over to the Dooney display and said, "Figure out which one you want." WHA- HUH - WAIT - WHAT?

"Figure out which one you want, but hurry up because we have dinner in 20 minutes."

AHHHHHH! A Cruise Ship design Dooney & Burke! I picked the style I wanted, went to the CM at the counter and asked her if there were any others. Being onboard the ship, they had limited stock due to storage space. She came out with 4 others of the bag, unwrapped them carefully so they could be re-wrapped, and let me look at the pattern placement. The ones I didn't want got wrapped back up and put away.

The one I liked went home with me. I love my DCL design Dooney & Burke.
