Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Great trip report! We've been back 2 weeks and I haven't even started yet. ;) (Of course, I came home with a cold that is just finally leaving me.

Anyway, I was wondering if you were able to snap any photos of any Counter Service locations showing what you can get for a SC? I see you like to take as many photos as I do!

I took over the Confirmed Snack thread and you mentioned you would try to get a few at CSR. TIA

Terri

:welcome: Thanks. Glad your cold is going away!

I did not get any pictures of snack credits at CSR. The only time we ate at the resort, I was rushed by my family to get back to the room to watch a movie.

I had apologized for not doing this on the CSR board, and another poster gave a link to their pictures. I can't remember if it was pics of the food at Panchitos or if they also did Rix Cafe and Pepper Market. I will try to find that link and PM it to you.

We went to the MK today. Christmas music piped in at TTC and MK!! I love Christmas music!! Decorations up and looking great!

awe, what a nice photo of your boys :goodvibes

What a great picture!!

Grumpy looks pretty happy...awesome picture of the boys!

He was very happy. He just had his ideal afternoon at MK. We ate at The Plaza Restaurant. Chef Connie came out and talked to him about school. She graduated from culinary school in 2002, so she said alot of things have changed. She said most people at Disney seem to graduate from Le Cordon Bleu.

After lunch we went to the Laugh Floor, then Buzz Lightyear, then the TTA/people mover. On the way out of the park, we stopped for an icecream sandwich at the bakery.

I have pictures of new seasonal items for sale, but photobucket isn't cooperating for me.

There is a new Mickey Santa mug at Aunt Gravities, that they will serve soft serve icecream in. It's $6.60 for the mug and icecream.

At the bakery they have Chrismas cupcakes and cookies. Again, I have pictures, but cant post.

Thanks! Your trip is soon, are you ready? Are you still working on your PTR?

17 days! :goodvibes

I'm afraid I gave up the PTR, I discovered I didn't really have time to obsessively over-plan AND post about it too. ;) But my plans are pretty well finished now, and I am ridiculously excited! One son is excited too, and unfortunately one is feeling very, very anxious, so we're working with him on that.

I love the pictures of all the holiday goodies and decor!

Wow! Love the mugs, and all the Christmas pictures! The bakery treats look great! I've not seen many WDW Christmas pictures, so looking forward to more! :goodvibes

Now ... I have to figure out when I can visit for Christmas festivities .... Maybe one year we'll brave the crowds and going on winter break. :confused3

What great pictures!! It's beginning to look a lot like like Christmas!! That ice cream sandwich looks good. I always love looking at all the food at the bakeries.

Braving winter break!? Thanksgiving break is probably a little better! When it's a 10 over Christmas and New Years, it is not a pretty!!!!!

If they can miss school, the week leading up to Veteran's Day is a perfect time. Veteran's Day weekend can be crowded though. But for this year, they extended hours. Epcot is open til 10 while we are there, EMH at MK is til 3am, and AK is open til 7 instead of 5 for this weekend!

As long as the temps don't feel like Christmas up north, I am more than happy!! The ice cream sandwich is very good. You pick your two cookies. DH and I shared one and the boys shared the other. I picked a sugar cookie since I can't eat chocolate. DH and the boys all picked chocolate chip cookies.

The sugar cookies are always a disappointment. They are like bricks...hard and crunchy, even with the icecream on it melting. This time I got lucky. A cm was just putting them out so I got a fresh one. The outside of the cookie was a brick, but the very middle was soft!!! That was the first time EVER!!! The sprinkles were cute with Christmas trees and snowmen.

Nice picture of the boys. Love the Christmas decorations (although I do have to say I am sick of seeing them in the stores already...it is too early in my opinion).

Not me! I would be perfectly happy hearing Christmas music year round and seeing the decorations.

This was cute. When we got to the monorail I heard Christmas music, so I told Anakin that it's now Christmas at the MK. Any type of change he is usually so resistant to. Instead of complaining about another change, he cheered. "Yay! So that means the scary decorations are gone!!"

He didn't like the scare crows or the Mickey pumpkin heads he said. I knew there was one scare crow he didn't like, but I didn't realize he didn't like any of them. He liked the cute decorations at Sea World for Halloween.

I can still pull the kids out of school without much issue right now ... but I can't miss classes. So we have to do WDW around my breaks until I'm out of college. Then ... the kids will be a bit bigger and might not be able to miss as easily. So we'll have to wait and see. :confused3

Your pictures are making me SO EXCITED! Thanks for always sharing...

That makes sense.

Glad you like the pics! I just pre-purchased the photo cd for this trip!

It's the Incredibles, and it says something about family reunion. He got it from a cart right in front of guest services at the top of the steps at MK.
