Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Love the Splash photo.....so he's okay now not worrying about his braces falling off? brave boy!

Lol, yes he is over the braces. Now it's ducks.

You know those little ducks you can get from Oriental Traders? Little squirting ducks for the pool or tub. He found some yesterday in his toy box that he had forgotten about. He was so happy. But now he's worried they will get lost again. So he has been checking up on them every 20 minutes. Yes, we set a timer. It was the only way I could get him to focus on school and not worry about his ducks.

I know what happened to the other ducks that are missing. I threw them away. From playing in the bath tub, they got some mold on the inside and started to occasionally squirt yucky water. I don't dare tell him I threw those away, he would be devasted. But didn't want him playing with moldy ducks. The 3 he did find he never had in water so they are good!

Today is he goes to the hospital for OT. He loves going there. He will "graduate" at the end of the month. Looking like insurance is done paying and $797/month is getting steep for us. On a positive note, his OT is a huge Disney fan and has promised him that once he is no longer her patient we can meet her at Disney. Saying good bye won't be as hard for him, knowing he'll see her at least once more.

We will continue working on OT at home. It will be a work in progress.

Crack me up Tink! I knew I better comment before I get distracted again, trying to catch up while the girls work on math. I am so sorry to hear that your insurance is done paying for the OT. That is awful, I wish you luck in doing it yourself. I would be willing to bet that his therapist can give you ideas of exercises that will be easy for you to do at home.

When I saw those tissues, I laughed. Anakin and Grumpy were clueless, but Grumpy knew why I was laughing!! Guess it must be a flower.

I requested the claim go to a resolution department, so I am hopeful it will be reviewed and covered.

If you sort through my Charlotte pics in the bouncing thread, you will see exactly why we laughed. Little dejavu. If I had more time, I'd run through my photobucket and post the 2 pics together. Maybe another day.

Wow! It's actually been a week since we were last at Disney. I think we're having withdrawal, lol. Up for today is a neurologist appointment to go over the MRI from August, then we are meeting up with bouncycat and tyler for a few hours of fun!! Anakin worked hard this weekend on today's school work. He is all caught up and ready for a day of fun!

Thanks! I changed a couple to 5X7, and I understand what you mean now. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain. Next step will be to figure out how to get the cd once the pics from yesterday upload to it? I got an email that says a credit should show up in my account for it.

i remember that after i pre-purchased the cd and was working on the edits, i went to the cart and there was a discounted cd showing in my shopping cart for this past trip. for the one before it, i think i had to enter a code from the email they sent when i ordered it.

i'm glad Anakin went on splash again. he seems to really enjoy it. i bet that the queue for the fairies isn't really done up in the first line because it is just temporary. glad its inside though. the pics of the DL fairy line sort of remind me of the line while they were at Epcto F&G this year.

Thanks ladies! The neuro visit went well. He gave us alot of hope. While he said Anakin is the worse case of Cortical Dyplasia he has, he also added that seeing improvement every four months leaves him very hopeful for continued improvement. He was also hopeful that the tests he did showed that both sides of the brain are starting to work together now. Previously every test was one sided. He went over the MRI with us. Showed us how Anakin has alot more brain than most people. He seemed to think he could learn to tap into it. He wants Anakin to take music lessons. He thinks his sound sensitivity could give him an ear for music. To which Anakin said, "I want to play drums!"

It was fun!! Thanks about Anakin! Tyler is such a good sport! Glad you had fun at HS. After you left us at the MK, we went for an icecream sandwich then headed out after shopping for earing for my mom.

I am pleased to hear how well the neuro visit went. I hav ehad three kids who have been in band. One trumpet who later played the sousaphone, a clarinet who also played the sax, and my son who has stuck with the trombone. I think music is a great outlet for kids. My son Loren would kill to play the drums.
