Has anyone used Disney Dollars
Where can you get them?
Can you buy them with UK currency?
Are there any benefits in using tem in disney shops?

As far as i know you can only buy them from Disney World. They don't cost anything extra to buy - it's basically just swapping your dollars for the exact same amount in Disney Dollars. And there aren't any benefits in using them, they're just a bit of fun really. Hope this helps!

Anyone know if you can buy them, perhaps at a Disney shop? They would make an ideal birthday present for my 10 year old daughter.

The UK Disney stores stopped selling them a few years ago. You can order them from the US, but this would be quite expensive with P&P. Best bet is to ask someone going to get them & send them on. I'm going in 6 weeks, if you want I can get them for you & send them on. PM me if you're interested. Last visit I got lots of $1 for the tooth fairy to leave DD. It's quite nice as they are various designs, and I don't mind collecting the $1, but I couldn't justify keeping a $20 Disney Dollar just because it's nice to look at!

I asked this a week or so ago and you can't buy them in the UK. I called the AKL where we are staying and was told that I could buy the Disney Dollars from the reception. In the gift shop they only sold the gift card which acts a little like gift vouchers.
You could always e-mail Disney via the Contact Us section of their web site to see where you could get them from if staying off site.
