Disney Dollars?

My nephew is going to Disney for his first time next week and I wanted to have something at the hotel just for him when he arrived. Does anyone know if the hotel can arrange a card and some disney dollars for him and either put it in his room or give it to him at check-in? He is only 4 and I think he would be so excited to have his very own money to spend while down there.

If I were you I would try calling the hotel to tell them that it is your nephews first trip Is it a Disney Resort? Often they will put special touches in your room like a card signed by the characters. If you ask to speak with the room controller its possible that they could do something for him. As for Disney dollars, its been a long time since I've spent any (Im 20 now but have been going to WDW every year since I was 2 hehe) but my understanding is that you can exchange real money for Disney Dollars at most retail stores throughout the parks and possibly the resorts. Yes, they are staying at a Disney resort, POFQ. I will try calling them and see what they can do for me.

Yes, you can exchange for them at the front desk of each resort and as well at most park stores.
