Disney Dollars

Wasnt sure where to post this so I figured I would post it here. Can you purchase disney dollars somewhere? Either online or maybe at a disney store? Also they dont loose value do they? Like if I spend $10 in US dollars, I will get $10 back in disney dollars? Also can you exchange them back into US dollars somewhere in WDW?

Yep, you can get them at the Disney Store. They come in denominations of $1, $5 or $10, and are exchanged evenly with US dollars.

You can now also get a gift card that can be used at WDW and is refillable. The card can be purchased at Disnet Store locations, online or at WDW.

My DD took both Disney dollars and the gift card on our recent trip and she got a real kick out of being in charge of her shopping!

Disney Dollars can be purchased at the Disney Stores, and they are dollar for dollar. They are great for the kids to carry around. I get my grandsons a few so they can be carrying around the characters. They are not old enough to know the value of the denominations yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.

I bought Disney Dollars as gifts at City Hall (Magic Kingdom). They told me that when used for purchases, they give change back in cash (they also required me to buy them with cash, no credit cards). So you shouldn't have any problem with excess Disney Dollars.
