Disney Dollars in Canada?

Can you buy Disney Dollars at Canadian Disney stores? My DGM wants to buy some for my cousins birthday for their trip next month and since I am the Disney fanatic in the family they asked me. I was quite embarrassed to not be able to tell them right away, but I knew where to come!

Nope you can't buy Disney Dollars in Canada at the Disney Store. If you want them you must travel to the US and buy them at the Disney stores there.

Because Disney Dollars only equal U.S. currency they can only be purchased and used in the U.S. . Unfortunately, the americans will tell you that you can use them in canada, but this is NOT TRUE!!

Just concurring with the other posters. You cannot purchase disney dollars in Canada. However, I earn disney dollars through online reward programs such as clicktothemagic and creationsrewards. We're planning a family trip to Disney next year and I plan on giving these disney dollars to the kids. What a thrill for them to have mickey money!!

You can also order Disney Dollars directly from Disneyworld. My niece e-mailed WDW and ordered Disney Dollars for her children and mine last Christmas. She had to pay for mailing (not that much she said) and I believe she got them within a couple of weeks (you might want to check on delivery time). You can't spend them in Canada, but can use them for a trip to WDW.

I do the reward programs too and usually end up earning a couple of extra dollars for each trip. It isn't a lot of money but it usually pays for a couple of souveniers
