Disney Dollar Question

This is just one of those mornings where I woke up thinking about some random wedding detail!!! DF and I both have Disney Visa...So, we rack up as many Dream Rewards Points as possible! I have stated doing sunshine rewards...which equals more Disney Dollars AND have specifically been putting away the end number of my paychecks in....wait for it...Disney Dollars!!!
*What I mean by the end of my paycheck-say for example you have a check for $58.00...The $8 gets changed into Disney Dollars (for a number like that I'd add the 2 and get $10...but you get the point)
Finally, we're planning on registering with Disney as well. (I can't tell you how many people have said this is such a good idea b/c we already have everything house wise)

SO, here is my question...What can I and can I not use my Disney Dollars for???

I know I can't use them for the ACTUAL wedding-correct???
And I know I can use them for a tea party b/c it would be at a restaurant on disney property...
What about golf??? I would love to send the boys off to play golf while the girls are at the tea party.
Richard Petty Driving Experience??? (come to think about it...this just might be DF's gift Good Idea...off to put that in my PJ)
Hotels? What if I use a TA? (Same question for registry)
Tours?
Dolphin Experience?
Spa time?


Any insight is greatly appreciated...I know no matter how much I have in DD it will go to good use eventually. On the flip side, I would love to be able to spoil my guests and not have to dip into the real green stuff if I don't have to.
No, really, I'm not an addict.

Worse comes to worse, we can always buy one of those really expensive prints that we always look at and say "WOW! That would really be cool to have!" There was one at the NYC Disney Store that I didn't get and REGRET not getting...and I've never seen it at DTD since.(Nor have we been back to NYC *pout*)

Haha. You can't use your honeymoon registry for wedding stuff. But I think you can use regular reward card points towards it. I don't think there is clause saying that you can't - but maybe I am wrong. You can def use them for golf and the richard petty experience (other credit cards like amex will let you use points for that too..).

So with all of that said, you totally could spoil your guests and that would be super generous. You could dole out your DD to all of your guests so that they have $$ to spend. Or you could pick your favorite souvenir and give one to everyone. I would be selfish and buy a print so that you always have something of value to remind you of your wedding.

DF and I are using all of our DD to go to hawaii when the dis resort opens in 2011. We both have enough air miles so hopefully it should be a completely free trip.

Its always fun thinking about how to spend lots of DD. Especially since it all is like funny money and doesn't feel as real as real cash.

Yes you can use some form of Disney Dollars or Rewards card for any of those activities. I looked up Richard Petty and it says they accept Disney Dollars but does not list Disney Rewards card as a form of payment, so you may want to ask first. Golf though definitely lists Disney Dollars and Disney Rewards card.

Anything that is an option to put on your honeymoon registry such as tours, hotel stay etc. is something you can use any of those forms of payment for (disney dollars, disney gift card, or disney rewards card)

I'm not sure how payment for a WDW wedding works but for my cruise wedding I have the option of making payments online up until my final payment date and I can use a gift card or rewards card to make any of those payments.

Unfortunately, you can't use Disney Dollars for any part of your bill to Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings - they don't accept gift cards as a form of payment. But as others have said, you can use them for basically everything else on property.

The way we did it was to just charge everything we could to our room and then pay off the room bill with our Disney Rewards Card when we checked out. That way we didn't have to keep track of the remaining balance on the card all the time.

And I'll agree...It's my wedding/honeymoon-Im getting the print! -The guests are already getting mouse ears.
On our last trip in Feb. my father told my mom that we spend too much money. My mother replied, "Money? They haven't spent anything this entire trip." My father puzzled by this says, "But look at all of the stuff they are taking home." My mother laughs and says, "Everything they have done/purchased/ate and drank has been on their rewards cards-they haven't spent a dime!" My dad was amazed at this...Now tries to find us ways to get more DD/rewards points! He even wants us to put the wedding on the card to collect more points!

Glad to hear golf is ok to use DD's for! Same for Richard Petty I will definitely check prior to booking-thanks for the heads up!
