Disney Dollar designs announced!!!

Just found out that the new Disney Dollars will be released on May 5th. The designs will be: $1 - Dumbo, $5 - Donald, $10 - Stitch, $50 - Mickey. No $20.00 announced.

I am not that familiar with Disney Dollars, but I got two $50 disney dollar bills for going to the DVC sales pitch. So unless DVC has special DD (and maybe they do, I don't know) they have had $50 bills.

Chicken Little is on the $1 bill right now. We've gotten them for returning our stroller at the end of the day.

Did you do the DVC sales pitch at WDW? How long did it last? Do they always offer a free promo just for attending? I'm actually interested in DVC. I think with 3 kids it would be a money-saving investment!

When I worked at the disney store, they only sold $1, $10, and $5. This was, also, a few years ago,

I don't know for sure if the Disney store will have them starting May 5th. I certainly hope so. You would kind of assume so, but now that they are not owned by Disney it's hard to say. I am looking forward to seeing the new designs, and to see if they have something on them marking the 50th anniversary. We have a Disney dollar from WDW's 25th anniversary and I certainly would like a commerative one from Disneyland's 50th.

triplefigs-I will PM you as I do not want to hijack this thread, but if anyone else is interested, the DVC sales pitch is VERY low pressure, and extremely informative and actually entertaining. You can get out of there in about an hour, but we took about 2 hours as we were very interested and asked a lot of questions.

WOW... $50.. I buy a set every year I go but I'm going to pass on the $50. Disney is very smart knowing people buy these to keep.... very smart!!!

Ah, very cool to hear. I remember Disney Dollars way back, Mickey was on the $1 bill, Goofy on the $5, Donald on the $10, & Grumpy on the $20, I think. Sombody correct me if I'm wrong.
