Disney discounts

I don't really understand why Disney always have discounts for Fla. residents even though they live closer and do not have to pay as much on places to stay or travel expenses. I think that guests from other states have to pay these expenses. I wish Disney would help us out too.What is your opinion?

Honestly, without the FL Resident promotion I would never go. I like Disney, but not enough to purchase a seasonal pass as I wouldn't use it often enough to justify the cost, plus I don't go every year. I do, however, plan on staying onsite for the week I am going and I plan to eat and drink my way around the world so Mickey will be getting plenty of my local money .
