Disney Direct Purchase/Reservation

Does any one know how long after starting the process with a direct SSR purchase we would be able to make a ressie? Coming up on a 7 month window in two weeks and are going to contact Disney today about buying.

Also, will they sell a 160 and a 60 point contract for our initial buy in?

Your points should be in the sytem the day after you make the down payment. You can buy 2 seperate contracts.
But you can only make a reservation for after your closing which should be a few weeks after your Down Paymemt but also depends on how fast you return the paper work

Unless the policy has changed, Disney will allow you to make a ressie that will occur after closing as soon as your contract has been approved, which is usually only a few days to a week after you send everything in, except you won't be able to bank or borrow points for making any such ressie; that you can do only after closing. In other words once you call and buy, it will likely be about three weeks before you can reserve as the paperwork has to get to you, you must then do it promptly (and correctly, which is extremely important to avoid delay), and send it back, and then Disney must process it for final approval. You should be able to make it two contracts for 160 and 60. Note that all the paperwork for that will come together but you do have to fill everything out for each one separately and write separate checks (if that is how you are paying) for each one.

I verbally gave the ok to my guide on March 27th & put $500 down. Had my points available on March 28th & actually borrowed some for our June trip. Signed & returned everything on March 30th. Made October reservations the next week (we have an October use year) and paid the rest of our 10% later that week.
Just got our signed paperwork & approval letter back a few days ago. We are all set to close mi-May. HTH

I Gave $500.00 on a Monday night at 7:45pm Wednesday at 9:30 am I got a call from Quality control (maybe) , Someone Welcoming me to DVC and letting me know I could call MS and make a reservation right then. I made a ressie and banked the rest of my points before I closed .
