This guy was THE most miserable person I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to!

Must be read wit a slightly nasal tone, bored, & full of disdain, kind of of like Roz from Mosters Inc:

Disney Employee: Reservations, Blue Bayou?

Me: Uh..yeah. Can we get the first...

DE: ...first reservation for lunch? Yes.

Me: Have you heard that many times?

DE: Every call is like the last. Those Disney boards don't know what they're talking about - people should do the opposite.

Me: Ok. Can we also get a reservation for Steakhouse 55...

DE: Well, at least you'll have one good meal.

Me: We weren't disappointed with Blue Bayou really...

DE: Well THAT'S before they started cooking the food on Main St, the kitchen's being rehabbed you know...

The WHOLE conversation was like this!!!!!

It's time for Roz to go find a more satisfying pay check me thinks.... :rolleyes1

Wow. Every time I've ever called to make reservations, the CMs have always been so pleasant!

I was imagining the parts of what you wrote with the CM talking to be said in the voice of the cigar-smoking baby from Roger Rabbit :rotfl:

Sounds like someone was having a bad day/week/year/life!

Yeah....except his voice was high enough it COULD have been a female monster full of disdain. Disdain for her job!

What, I wonder, is the opposite of first res for lunch? Last res for lunch? So you have to sit and wait for the seating before the last to finish up? At which point it would switch to dinner menu? That just makes no sense.

You should have told him that it works out quite well.

Of course there are people out there (or at least one person and her family that must follow her instructions so she can SEE them) who don't like sitting by the water (too dark for my post-lasik eyes), so not everyone wants the water tables.
