We were trying to decide whether to upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan or stay with the regular dining plan. It's our 1st trip and we have heard that it's lots of food even with the regular plan. We have ADR for Cinderella's Royal Table and also at Hoop Dee Doo Review which are both 2TS so that will have us using 4 TS on just 2 meals. It's our 1st trip w/ 3 daughters who really want to do Cinderella's Royal Table/Breakfast (we have ADR before the park opens for our 1st day in MK). So we were trying to decide whether to upgrade or just pay if we end up going over on our TS. Which will be best for the money?? Thanks!:confused3

I, personally, would not upgrade. Use your credits to eat at all the places you really want, then supplement with OOP meals at counter service restaurants. I find that after a couple of days, I simply get tired of eating. At that point, a nice salad is all I really want. My teen boys would rather be having fun at the rides than eating, as well.
We loved Hoop Dee Doo (twice) and enjoyed Cinderella's breakfast, btw. Have fun! :)

1st visit, Would ya'll recommend buying the Disney Refillable Mugs at our resort or are you even in the hotel enough to use them much? Thanks!

My husband is an early bird, so he likes to get a mug. He likes to go down and have coffee in the mornings and get soda when we return at night. A mug is a waste for me even when they give me one with the QS plan, because I prefer water.

To decide you need to pick all the places you really want to eat at. Then count up the credits, if they are 5 or more greater than what you would get on the regular plan, it may be time to consider upgrading. I would personally get the regular with what you are wanting to do. You should use your ts credits for CRT and HDDR and then just pay oop for some counter service meals in place of the 2 extra credits you have used.

What other places are you planning on eating at? And how many nights will you be there? That would help in deciding if you need to upgrade.

honestly, on a first trip, I would never do the deluxe...lots of time in the restaurants...lots of scheduling involved, and then getting to & from restaurants from your resort or a park...too time consuming for a first visit. I'd stick with the plan you have, and just pay OOP for the occasional counter service meal to make up for the 2 TS places you've chosen. So much easier to just get a combo meal at your resort counter service than dashing to & fro. On your next trip (see, planning ahead for you, lol) you'll have a better idea of the time it takes to do this & that, as well as whether you'd want more table service meals.

For a little one, by the way,if your little one is an early riser anyway, I'd highly recommend the Crystal Palace in the MK for the Pooh characters (any meal...though we love getting the early breakfast reservations. Getting in the park before it opens, and the early ressies the restaurant is not full so you'll get plenty of character time.)

If your 3 DDs are under 9.
I would say definitely upgrade...:thumbsup2

All of the Dining Plans are an excellent value for Children.
The more you have the better value it is...;)

And the MUGS are included with the deluxe plan.
