Disney Dining Plan

Hello, I am new to the site, but I have been lurking for sometime now, I need a question answered, My DH & I recently purchased timeshare, but not thru Disney, but we can use the Disney Resorts, if we choose as they are listed in our brochure to use if we want, but can we use the DDP along with that. Not sure if we have to actually own thru Disney or not to use it.

We're heading to Disney on the 22nd of this month. We exchanged our timeshare through Interval for a week at Disney. We called the resort and told them we'd like to purchase the dining plan. They added it to our reservation and said we owed the amount upon check-in. It took a few phone calls to find the right person to make this happen, but it eventually worked out.
