Disney dining plan package only?

Hi everyone!
Can someone please tell me if the Disney deluxe dining plan can be purchased a la carte (so to speak) or must it be obtained only through a Disney vacation package? In other words, can I separately purchase a Disney resort, then purchase park tickets and then add the deluxe dining plan? I think this could prove to be less expensive than a package.

No, it needs to be in a package with a resort stay.

You could book a ticketless package over the phone and buy tickets seperately.

You could purchase a ticketless package, but you will have to call to do it. The package would include the room and dining plan and would follow all the rules of a package (deposit, final payment deadline, change and cancellation fees within 30 days of arrival).

Call CRO and tell the CM you want to book the Better Together Package.


You will be charged for the room (if a discount or code comes out you can use that with the package as well) and the dining plan you select. You will have to pay $200 when you book and then pay the balance about 45 day before check in.

I did this for your trip last Easter and will be doing it again next year.


I purchased our park passes from ticketsatawork. I believe our room discount was 20% or 25% off of the rack rate.



We only stay on site when we go to Disney. The dining plan a must for us. Not being forced to purchase tickets from Disney has been great.
