At the very last second, I added the Deluxe Dining Plan to the first half of our stay. I am about to decide about the last two nights (we had to do a split stay at AKV and BCV due to lack of availablity). Anyway...
Unless my math is incorrect, the Deluxe Dining Plan is a no brainer, if you are going to do at least two expensive buffets or expensive restaurants a day. Even if you do not eat the third table service meal during that day, you are better off. Correct?
I read that the buffets at Boma, Ohana, and Cape May are around $39.99 per adult and $15.99 per child. So...Each buffet will run you (without tax) around $111.00. If you do that twice during the day you are already over the cost of the Deluxe Dining Plan, if your children are young.
The Deluxe Dining Plan is going to cost us Well, the Deluxe Dining Plan is $203.96 per day for the four of us. That is a crazy good deal. We cover the cost of the two buffet/expensive restaurant meals and basically get two snacks for each of us and another Table Service meal for free. No brainer...if my math is correct.
In years to come, as the children get older, we won't do so many character meals, and we may find we don't like the plan of eating a big breakfast each day, but for now, I think we're making a good choice.
