So just found out this morning that DH and I will be going to Disney for 4 days in April for a belated 15yr anniversary trip!
We have been to Disney 4 times with the kids but never alone and have always done the dining plan that has 1 TS, 1QS & 1 snack......am thinking about doing the deluxe plan this time so we can do a couple "adult" meals that typically would take 2TS credits.....so wondering what others thoughts are? Good idea?
What would be any suggestions for a nice place to eat???

I did the deluxe dining plan for 14 nights in 2009 and am planning on doing it again in 2012, so I would say yes go for it.

I have a friend who does the Deluxe dining plan every time he comes to Disney. I think that if you love a good meal, this might be the way to go. Its too much food for me but then again I live here.

Whether or not the Deluxe plan is right for you depends on a few factors:

Are you a foodie?
If so, then by all means, GO FOR IT!

Is your trip a budget trip?
If it is, then it might be better to pay OOP for a special dinner one night.

Are you a detailed planner?
If you are, then all the ADRs shouldn't bother you. Yes, you might be using 2 TS credits for dinner, but that means that you still need to make an ADR for breakfast or lunch everyday.

DH and I tried the Deluxe plan on our first trip together back in 2008, and I don't think we would ever do it again. It felt like we were constantly running from one ADR to the next, and we did eat a few 2TS places. I can live with one ADR each day, but two or three can get a bit extreme. I think some days we spent more time in restaurants than we did enjoying other parts of the park. And it was sooooo much food. Sure, you don't have to order an appetizer and dessert for each person, but you often feel like you have to to make sure you are getting your money's worth.

You might end up so full that you skip a meal hear or there. We tried to have an ADR for breakfast and a 2TS credit dinner and just have snacks for lunch. That seemed to work out okay for the days that we had that scheduled, so maybe if you think it might be a lot of food, you can try that route.

Thanks for the input!
I think we are going to give it a try...we are flying in early and leaving late so figure we can spread the 9 meals over the 4 days and have a couple nice 2TS meals as well!
Already have Le Cellier booked for Thursday!!
Here we go :banana::banana:

My husband and I went for our honeymoon in July of 2010 and yes we used our deluxe dining every time we wanted a romantic table service dinner/lunch or breakfast. SAVE YOUR MONEY so a big yes on doing it. we had a blast... wE even were able to have the delicious Disney pizza delivered when we wanted some relax time in our room =) lol
