Disney Dining Gift Card questions

We have a Disney DINING Gift Card that has about $150 left on it. On our next trip to WDW we plan to get the Dining Plan. Since the tip is not included in the dining plan, will we be able to use this Disney Dining Gift Card to just pay for the tip on table service meals?
