Disney Dining / Gift Card Question

I have finally faced the fact that the dining plan will not be available for my August trip . So, we are buying gift cards to budget for food. My questions are:
1) Can I buy a gift card in Canada and use it at Disney (obviously it won't be worth the same as US$) -I think I can do this???
2) Can I use a gift card for dining at the following Disney Springs restaurants: The Chicken Guy, Polite Pig, D'Luxe Burger, Rainforest Cafe

Not sure about those particular restaurants but you can definitely buy Canadian Disney gift cards and use them for food. We used them at many TS & QS places last year. In Disney Springs we used them at Blaze and Boathouse but I was told that they were accepted everywhere in Disney Springs.

We usually use gift cards for food and I don't recall ever having an issue at Polite Pig, Rainforest, or D'Luxe.

Just a tip, if you are staying on site you can also charge everything to your magic band and then pay it off with your Disney gift cards too. I do this pretty often. I always just make sure I go pay it a full 24 hours before check out so they don't charge it to a card.

Pretty sure you can use the Gift Cards at all of those locations...as far as Cards from Canada that should not be a problem at all,
