Hi-

Just wondering if you can buy a DDE card without being an annual passholder? If so, how?? And how much is it?

The only other way you can purchase a DDE card is being a Florida resident. And for Florida residents, the cost is $75.

The DDE card used to be only for Florida residents. They can still receive it for $75.00. If you live in Florida you may order DDE. The only other way to buy DDE is to be an Annual Passholder. They pay $50.00. In January, when they first switched and let AP holders buy DDE the CMs selling the DDE were a little confused and let others purchase the cards. They are not doing that anymore. You have to give them the numbers off your AP now.

ok then- if I have to order an AP do I have to wait to order the DDE card till I get the voucher? How long does getting the voucher take? How long does it take to receive the DDE card after you order it? Is that something you can have waiting for you at check in??

I don't know the answer to all of your questions - sorry. I do know you will need the voucher to order DDE. The voucher will have a line of numbers and letters you will have to give the DDE people to order. I'm sorry, I don't know how long it will take to get the voucher. I know for tickets you can pay for faster shipping. When I ordered my card it took A LONG time (about 2 months) to get the actual cards. Some have reported getting their cards sooner since they've order more recently - like maybe DDE is finally catching up on demand. If your trip is before you will receive your cards the DDE people will email you a letter allowing you to receive the 20% discount. They can also fax this letter to your resort or as reported recently to the park guest services.

I recently ordered the AP voucher at Disney World online. With express shipping (a few dollars more than standard), I received the voucher in less than a week. According to the web site, Standard shipping takes 10 - 14 days.

Yes you have to have your voucher in order to buy the DDE. I ordered my AP Voucher & got it with in a week (standard shipping).

Then I ordered the DDE. I had my email confirmation (which can be used in the parks) within minutes. The CM I spoke with said I wont have my card for 8 weeks though.

We will be in Disney at the end of the month so I am glad I have my email confirmation to use.
