I have a quick question. I wanted to purchase a Disney Dining Experience Card. I was wondering if it could be used at Teppan Edo. It is not listed on the website, but thought it could be an oversight.

Thanks!

I read or heard (maybe the podcast) recently that Teppan Edo does not accept the DDE.

Nope- and neither does Tokyo Dining at this time. Too bad becasue we had a terrific meal there.

If you have an annual pass, you can get a discount at lunch, Monday thru Friday. I think it's 10 percent.

can anyone explain to me the DDE and it's benefits over the DDP??

DDE is the Disney Dining Experience that is for Annual Pass holders and Florida Resident pass holders. It allows them 20% discounts at certain restaurants throughout the grounds. The DDP is the Disney Dining Plan allowed for resort guests and the number of days you get meals is based on the number of nights you stay at a resort.

Here is what I find odd:

The restaurants in japan take the DDP but not DDE.

The bistro in france take the DDE but not the DDP. (les chefs take both)

I wonder why it is advantageous for these places to take one over the other, but not the same one...
