We have the DDE card and we love it. If you want the dining plan, you have to buy at least a one-day park ticket to get it (since the dining plan is attached to your park ticket/hotel reservation), and if you already have annual passes you don't need a ticket, unless you put a no expiration option on it and save it for later. We have found out from experience with the Dining plan and the DDE card that if we just pay for food and use the DDE card we save more money than using the Dining plan (as an annual passholder).

The card has saved us a lot of money the last couple years. We recommend it and remember it's good in the bars at the hotels for food and drinks also!

But you have to have an AP correct? Are you going to make it back more than one time wthin the next year?

We do get a AP. We got for 10 days and with the DDC we save so much it is a wash on the difference even if we don't go again!
