Disney Dining,DIS Meets, and WAIT-Why is that lady holding..... FINAL THOUGHTS 11/27

Great update, Michelle. That Kitchen Sink looks unbelievable. We've never been to B&C...one of these days I hope.

Fantasmic is a VERY close second in my heart after Wishes. And good for your DIS secret getting you a seat. And that is awesome that you got on TSM via standby with no where near the 50 minute wait it said.

Thanks, Kathy! I almost didn't recognize you---you changed your avatar! :)

If you and Mark will need some help to finish a Kitchen Sink.....Kevin and I will be glad to help you! ;)

Day 6---Thursday, May 27

Thursday morning we headed back to DHS for the day. We got to the boat dock outside YC/BC a little before 9 that morning and had to wait about 10 minutes for a boat to appear. It was a beautiful morning, bright blue sky, with no clouds in sight.

IMG_1561.jpg

Finally, a boat arrived, and we were seated and moving by 9:10 that morning. By the time we made our stops at Swan/Dolphin, went through security checks, and the ticket gates, it was well after 9:30 (the park had opened at 9 that morning).

Kevin headed straight to TSM to grab fast passes for later in the day. The kids and I walked on down to Rock n Roller Coaster. The posted wait time was 30 minutes. We got in the line, but it was moving really quickly. In less than 10 minutes, we were at the doors to enter the building, and Kevin had not caught up with us. We had to step aside and let several people pass, when finally he appeared. We were ready for the first ride of the day! :woohoo:

IMG_1562.jpg

Afterwards we headed down to Starring Rolls to use some snack credits for breakfast. We had never eaten anything from here, but it was all good, and would definitely grab something here again. I hate that I didn’t get any pictures. Kevin and Rachel both got cinnamon rolls, Elizabeth got a double chocolate muffin, and I had a chocolate croissant. Reid ate some of everybody’s!

After getting fortified, we walked back to Tower of Terror.

IMG_1563.jpg

Of course, Elizabeth was not going to ride---She doesn’t like this one, and usually sits with Reid. But today, we had talked him into riding, ;) so she went to wait near the gift shop by herself. The posted wait time was 45 minutes, but we went ahead and got in line. During the week, we had noticed that the posted wait times were not exactly close to accurate—on the good side. After walking through the gate, we realized that the line was no where around 45 minutes. I barely had time to stop and take any pictures through the line.

We “checked in” at 10:50 and were finished with the video, and were seated in our elevator by 11:09. As always, a great ride---one of our favorites!

Here we are-on the back left.

IMG_1578.jpg

We found Elizabeth, and decided to catch the 11:30 Beauty and the Beast. I can’t believe that I didn’t take any pictures, but obviously, I didn’t. Truth is, I probably have over a hundred shots of this from our eight previous trips. But, I love it every time! :goodvibes

When we finished, we walked over to Animation Academy. The girls and I had done this for the first time during our March trip, and we really wanted Kevin to try it. When we got in, a class had just started, so we walked around and found---

We made our way back toward the drawing class, and waited a few minutes, before it was our time! We wound up on the front row, and the class was not even full.

IMG_1582.jpg

We drew Tigger. The girls were disappointed, because we drew him during our March trip, but that’s the chance you take. I’m not sure who’s this is, but it was the best of the bunch!

IMG_1643.jpg

Here's another version of Tigger---This one completed by a seven year old boy named Reid!

IMG_1641.jpg

If you’ve done this before, you know the teacher always tells you that the last step is to sign your drawing, because that’s what all real artists do. I got really tickled by Reid’s signature---He signed his entire-first, middle, last-name!

IMG_1642.jpg

We initially finished up and went back into the building to try to have our picture made with Sorcerer Mickey. The line was sooooooo long, and the kids started complaining about being hungry, so we bailed out of the line and instead walked over to the Studio Backlot to eat some lunch.

***CONTINUED IN NEXT POST

Afterwards, we decided (actually I decided, and everyone else followed, grumbling under their breath) to try the line with Sorcerer Mickey again. I got in line at 2:35, and the kids walked around and looked at the different activities. While I waited, Kevin let Reid meet Mr. Incredible-

IMG_1583.jpg

Finally it was almost our turn, so I called Kevin, and he rounded up the troops. It was 3:00, and we got our turn with Sorcerer Mickey! :thumbsup2

Since they’d made their mama happy by posing for the pictures, I let my kids be happy by heading over to Toy Story Mania to use our fast passes.

It was 3:30 by then, and we decided to head back to Beach Club. On the way, my family had to humor their mom just one more time, as we stopped for some photo pass pics.

Of course, the same ones who fuss the most about stopping because they just want to get back to the resort, are the very same ones who can stop for anything they want to look at………..:rolleyes1

We were back to Beach Club by 4 that afternoon. This little friend was waiting for us in our bathtub-

IMG_1597.jpg

We all took a swim in the quiet pool and rested some before we headed in to clean up for our dinner surprise! We had dinner plans that the kids didn’t know about---something we’d never been to at Disney!

UP NEXT---A HAND-CLAPPIN’, FOOT-STOMPIN’ TIME IS HAD BY ALL!

Looks like a great day at HS. Glad you enjoyed Starring Rolls we usually grab breakfast there at least one morning. Brooklynn didn't want to meet Lotso she said he was mean! We have yet to try and draw a character because we always have the girls with us. Maybe one day.

YUM! Starring Rolls! The Tigger picture turned out great. Way to go Reid for riding ToT. Love all of the pictures.

I was behind a few updates. Great pics and commentary. That kitchen sink was BIG. Fun day at DHS!!!

The new TS had not come out when we were there in May, so the kids didn't know that Lotso would be mean! After they saw the movie, they were shocked that he was at the Meet/Greet since he is a meanie!

Definitely one day, you'll have to do Animation Academy---Maybe a swap out with MeMom? :)

Thanks! :)

I think Starring Rolls is a new love of ours! :thumbsup2

Glad you're back from your trip (again!) Loved seeing all your pictures on FB! :thumbsup2

Yes, the KS was HUGE---I was optimistic that we could finish it off, but it wasn't to be! :)

What a great DHS day! I love the pics. I got addicted to Animation Academy on this trip.

Thanks, Susan! I understand how Animation Academy can become so addicting. :thumbsup2 We love it!

So funny that you had posted over here, because I've been trying to catch up on other's PTRs and TRs and I had just posted on your new TR not five minutes ago!

Great day at DHS! Suddenly, I am craving a chocolate croissant now. ;) Love the pictures with Lotso and Sorcerer Mickey! Glad the kids indulged you by standing in line and posing! :goodvibes

All of your photopass pictures are great. I drove my dh crazy with taking photopass pictures on our last trip, but I am glad I did after I received the CD.

We also have a picture with Lotso, then after seeing the movie realized he was a meanie. He was so nice at the meet. I guess he is only mean to other toys.

Great update Michelle :thumbsup2. I swear we don't ever seem to have the time to do all the stuff ya'll get done. Then again; Dale doesn't like shows or character meets :sad2:. I don't understand why he is such a fuddy duddy..........:lmao:. I just love your family pictures with the characters :lovestruc.

Doing some catching up here...

I'm glad to see the girls got up so that you could get to Akershus on time for breakfast. I'm glad you got to meet Becky, but I am sad to hear that it didn'e meet your expectations.

We seem to do a bit of criss-crossing as well with TT on one side of FW and Soarin on the other. Glad to hear you enjoyed MS this time around!

The Photopass pictures look awesome!

Boo for the sulkiness, but I'm happy she got out of her funk!

That Kitchen Sink looks amazing! I know there is no way on earth that we would be able to finish it either.

It sounds like yall had a wonderful evening at DHS. We haven't seen F! in so long. We may have to put it on our to do list for next summer.

Great morning at DHS! We have yet to do the Animation Academy. Cooper is still too young in my opinion. Maybe in the next year or two, we'll be able to get in there to take our hand at a character.

Yay for the kids dealing with their mama wanting them to take pictures. What great sports they were!

Whew! All caught up again!

Hello from a slacker DIS friend!! I got soooo far behind and I'm so sorry!

I have really enjoyed catching up. You guys had some great fun! We're going with family next summer so I am hoping there will be enough of us to get a kitchen sink!:thumbsup2

I did not know that info about the F! dinner package seating so thanks for the tip. I have a hard time picking favorites at Disney but that show ranks really, really high on my list.

I hope to do better at keeping up now!:goodvibes

Your RnRC and ToT ride pics are so good! You guys look like you were having a blast! :cool1:

I can't wait for the next update! popcorn:: I want to know how the kids reacted to the surprise!

How did Reid like ToT? He seems like quite the thrill ride junkie, so I'm guessing it was a winner!!

Love that pic of Reid with Mr. Incredible! All the others are great too - glad your kids humored you with some pictures! :goodvibes

That stingray in the bath tub is so cute! What a clever towel animal for the Beach Club and an even more clever place to put it.

Great day at DHS! Suddenly, I am craving a chocolate croissant now. ;)

Sounds yummy right now to me, too. I think I need a glass of milk, too! :)

All of your photopass pictures are great.

We also have a picture with Lotso, then after seeing the movie realized he was a meanie. He was so nice at the meet. I guess he is only mean to other toys.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I guess it wouldn't be good if Lotso made the little kids cry at Disney World. Like you said, maybe he's only mean to other toys!

Great update Michelle :thumbsup2. I swear we don't ever seem to have the time to do all the stuff ya'll get done. Then again; Dale doesn't like shows or character meets :sad2:. I don't understand why he is such a fuddy duddy..........:lmao:. .

Thanks, Dana! :)

Even if you don't do all the stuff we do, y'all are probably much more relaxed and happier during your trip!

Dale a fuddy duddy????? I can't believe it! Sometimes Kevin can be a fuddy duddy too! ;)

Michelle, I got my TR started last night and am now catching up on everyone else's reports. I love your photopass pics at the Studios; I also love the pic of Tigger (we did this for the first time and I would have been thrilled to draw Tigger even though I was happy with who we got...and at least it wasn't Stitch). It's amazing kids get impatient when you aren't doing what they want, but they expect you to be patient when you don't want to do what they want to do. :rotfl2:

I'm glad to see the girls got up so that you could get to Akershus on time for breakfast. I'm glad you got to meet Becky, but I am sad to hear that it didn'e meet your expectations.

That's ok---Glad we were using the DDP for that one, but had fun meeting Becky anyway! :)

We seem to do a bit of criss-crossing as well with TT on one side of FW and Soarin on the other. Glad to hear you enjoyed MS this time around!

Enjoyed might be too strong of a term. Tolerated (and didn't feel sick) might be a better way to describe it! ;)

The Photopass pictures look awesome!

Boo for the sulkiness, but I'm happy she got out of her funk!

Thanks, Megan!

Sulkiness is part of my life with two teenage daughters! *SIGH* This too, shall pass!

That Kitchen Sink looks amazing! I know there is no way on earth that we would be able to finish it either.

It was yum-yum!

Love F! You've got to see it again! How do your boys handle the loudness and the scary scenes?

I think in a couple of years, that Animation Academy will be great for Cooper! :thumbsup2

Yay for the kids dealing with their mama wanting them to take pictures. What great sports they were!

Whew! All caught up again!

Even with their moodiness, they are still good kids! :)
