Day 4 of our trip (6/28) brought us to the 50's Prime Time Cafe. This was our first trip here and we were not sure what to expect. We were joined by a good friend from work and his family, so our normal party of 5 was now 8. We waited about 10 minutes for our 12:30 PS. Ouida was our server. She made the visit very pleasant but also entertaining.
The family cast as follows: (Me - Trip planner. NO CHEESE PLEASE)
DW - Easy going and also easy to please.
DS (19) - Will try anything; prefers seafood. Won't gain an ounce.
DD's (13) - A - Family soup expert. Will take a try at anything. Her twin sister T is our resident carnivore. Meat, heat & eat. PICKY
We started with an order of onion rings (thinly sliced and crunchy - great) which was shared by all. The carnivore stayed safe with the kids chicken, the rest of my family had shrimp caesar salads and I decided on the bbque chicken sandwich (sans cheese of course). No complaints at all here, satisfying and filling. Lemonades and ice tea's rounded out the selections.
I passed on dessert as usual, wanting to save room for Fulton's that evening. The others could not resist. DW had a hot fudge sundae, the carnivore a vanilla shake and DS and Twin (A) split a Dad's super sundae. That was one huge plate of ice cream and they barely made a dent in it. My friend and his family also went the salad route and were not disappointed.
All in all, a great change of pace spot. Total for our 5 was $128.44 and we decided not to use our Silver Plan. This will now be a regular stop on the day we spend at MGM.
