How cool is that? The neighborhood this home is in is full of beautiful interesting homes.It is gated so there are no drive-bys.

There is no way I could let my DH or DS see that.....It would be an extreme makeover at my house!

Jules, the homes are very different from what you typically see here in the Atlanta area. It's been a while since I've driven through there, and I'm not very good at describing things, but many of them looked like they belonged to a different place and/or time: ie: I seem to remember one that looked something like a plantation house, several of them looked like very large townhouses that you might see in a city - very different from the typical 2-story stucco or brick house. I also seem to remember that many of the lots were very small and the houses close to the street, which added to the almost surreal atmosphere. At that time, we were house-hunting and had looked at many homes in many different neighborhoods, and this one definitely had a unique feel to it! My sister told me once that every one of the homes was modeled after some well-known historical house somewhere. I don't know if that's true or not, though. I can imagine the HM house would fit in very well there!

Munster House: $250,000? That does not buy a condo in my neighborhood! (I need to move)

ahaha, I know! I was rather surprised by the pricetag as well. I thought the home would be well over $500,000

Cool! DH is very impressed, too.

I did DH's bathroom as the Haunted Mansion. Verdegris wrought iron accents, HM memorbilia, etc... It's DH's bathroom....... it can get pretty scary in there!

Claudia, wow, that's really neat. Black and purple striped wallpaper too? I can't imagine the fun it would be decorating that mansion. I just wish the article showed some pictures of the inside, what does the kitchen look like? or the living room? I wonder if it's rather dark inside.
