I received this in the mail yesterday. It says $712 per adult and junior for $308 for 6 nights/ 7 days in Select Disney Values from most nights 9/14/13- 9/30/13. I am reading it as tickets for one park per day and the hotel?

So I am figuring this correctly?

Adult #1 $712
Child age 14 $308
Child age $10 $308

Adult #2 $712
Child age 10 $308
Child age 10 $308

2 rooms in a value for our family? plus food, transportation, etc. Is this a good deal or should I wait for free dining or something else? I would want to go from September 21 to 29 so a few extra nights also to add in.

Thanks!

Chrissy

On the site i'm getting $1878.08 for one adult,14 yo, and 10 yo in a standard room at All Star Music (21-29th) with a 7 day base ticket. This pricing is about $500 more than your pricing. I would call and book your pricing, if free dining does come out you can always call and switch discounts.

3 digit code mailers are generally rack rate. I would price it out online and be looking at the screen when you call to get a quote to see if it is rack rate.

You are right, I also did not have the exact info she was using to price her vacation but based on the info she gave that is a pretty good discount for value resort booking :rolleyes1 I am like you I would have my screen pulled up when I called to check. Don't think her pricing is gonna work out. Hope she gets back with some real numbers from Disney. :thumbsup2

Part of the $500 difference you found might be the added nights. The numbers she listed were for 6 nights, but the dates you ran the quote for are for 8 nights. Plus her amounts likely don't include tax. :goodvibes

OK medicine head here, man I need a snow day! Looked at it again and I totally missed the part where she needed to add 2 nights to the pricing she gave. That pretty much makes it rack rate.

Haha, two minds think alike. I am just older and slower than you:lmao: Would have never guessed we just spent 14 nights in Disney over the holiday season. Man I need a vacation:banana: You going to MNSSHP this year? What you dressing up as? Love to see your pictures of your costumes.

:rotfl: Thanks! PMing you with a reply. :goodvibes

I kind of thought it was rack rate, but when I priced it out online, I was getting numbers so much higher. I will be calling tomorrow to see what they have to say.

We have not been to Disney in almost 7 years.....I am really hoping for something to come out that will get us there for way under $6000 for the week.

Thanks everyone! I just went online again and entered September 14 to 20th to see what would come up at the package came to $1611. When I add what they sent, I get $1328. I am guessing the tax is the difference.

I am still hoping for a free dining or a way better offer for September so that we can take our first trip in 7 years to Disney.

Everyway that I price the trip with travel, food etc it is close to $6000.

Sending some pixie dust your way:wizard: Hope you get to go. Keep us updated as to the pricing you get when you call. Since you have gotten a mailer, call ever so often and just ask them to check and see if you have a PIN attached to your household. It can't hurt, you never know:thumbsup2

I did not do the math but my guess is it is rack rate. In the travel Industry normally the priceing of a package will read $XXX "based on 2 Adults, 1 Junior, 1 Child" All that means is the total Pkg cost is shown divided 4 ways to make it look cheaper.

It may or may not be poor wording on Disney's part but I am sure it is for just 1 Value room with up to 4 guests (2/A,2/C)additional charges apply for more than 2 Adults in a room just about anywhere

I hope I am wrong but Disnesy is getting very creative in sending out these "Teaser" 3 Digit codes promoting Rack Rate :crazy2:
