Disney Destinations email during vacation

So I just got an email on one of my many emails from Disney Destinations that says I should be checking my email while I am there next week. Kind of odd to me that its on an email that isn't attached the vacation, but okay, I will roll with it....

Is this really an email alerting me that I might some special deal, or am I getting my hopes up?

I received that email before our trip. We've been here since 11/2 and haven't received anything but promos for photopass.

We received both a bounceback email and a discount on photopass pictures while on our most recent trip.

I'm in the same boat! And I thought I was the only person in the country to still have a "stupid phone" (as opposed to a Smartphone) that doesn't get Internet or e-mail!

I received the same email before out trip last June and got so excited. I only received one email while there for eight days and it was a photopass email. For those of you that won't have internet access. Ask someone that you trust to check it for you and call you if you get a deal.

I hear ya. I will not pay $50 extra a month just so I can have internet on my phone.

Shoot, I'm one of the only grownups in the country that doesn't have a cell phone at all!!!! DW has one and keeps fussy at me to get one.

I got this email this week and came here to find out what, if any thing, they'll be emailing to me the week I'm there.

I'm not dragging my laptop to Disney. I actually like the break from the internet during Disney.

If any of you really need to check email during your trip, you can go to the convention center at Yacht Club to do it. They have a business center & you can use a computer & access the web. I think I paid $10 for 30 mins? You could get less than 30 mins, but that's what I paid for. They give you a code for the computer & you don't have to use all your minutes at once. I've also used it to check in for my flights online.

There may be other resorts with business centers. Maybe Contemporary or Coronado Springs, but I'm not sure on that. I have only used the one @ YC. Since we stay at YC, it is very convenient. I'd rather pay $10 & do it myself than rely on someone else.

We received a bounceback email while we were in Disney last summer. Unfortunately the dates didn't work for us.
