I was trying to think of a DIS saying for a shirt and I thought about all the things people who are clueless miss out on!!

Midnite----I love it!!!! Thanks so much, I can't wait to show it to my family!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I need help---because I am pretty dumb with the computer. How do I print this out. I know I have to buy specail paper. Can you recommend any? Also do I need to download it off the internet and into some program on my pc? Please help. I know I sound pretty dumb---huh?!

I love all your designs, I am actually going to use the princess scroll one for DD too.

Thanks again!!!! :earsboy:

:teacher:

Save the image to your computer (your desktop would be a good place). Click the link from the TShirt page and then right click the image and do Save Picture As...

Open your Paint program (Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint)

Open up the picture in the Paint prorgram. (File, Open)

Select Image, Flip/Rotate

Then print it on your transfer paper (File, Print)

This is assuming you need to flip the picture. Read your instructions that will come with the transfer paper.

And keep in mind I've not actually printed any shirts, just done the designs :rolleyes1

Midnite,

Thank you for the designs!!! Could you make a change to the Birthday boy's?

Instead of Celebrating Danny's 5th Birthday at the top, can you change that one to "It's my 5th Birthday" and then take it off the bottom?

Thanks! I can't wait to print them up in the next couple of months! I might make a few more from some of your other designs too!

Okay, I have made what I think is a very cool iron-on image. Then ruined three seperate shirts trying to get it to go on right. I used two different types of transfer sheets. And it partially comes out well, then it sticks to the shseet and won't come off, and not in the same place or the same way on any of the shirts. I can see how that it if came out right it would be awesome! But it is so disheartening to see these shirts ruined. UGH.

1. Any tips, preferred type of transfer paper, etc. to doing this?

2. Any ideas on how to get ruined transfers off a perfectly good shirt?

BTW, I tie-dyed some shirts for our October. I cut the rubber-bands off and they looked awesome!!! Then I had a little leakage during washing, and the whites aren't totally white. But after two washings, THEY ARE AWESOME! I am very pleased!!!

THanks for teaching us all the tips about how to do the mouse ears!!!!

This one took me a while. I couldn't get a good large clip art of Mickey and did a lot of clean up work on him. However, I'm pretty happy with the end result....

Wow - these are great - Love the birthday one!

Are you using photo impact too?

I'm messing around with serif photo plus 6 - free download from the net - as I'm looking at tees and wedding invitations... I might give some of these other programmes a go though...

I love these designs!

We're going to WDW for a week next March. We'll be celebrating my daughter's 7th birthday while we're there. (it's our first trip at all with the kids) I want to make cure T-shirts for both my kids (and maybe my niece whose family will be travelling with us).

I want to make a design about my daughter's birthday without it saying "It's my birthday" since it techincally won't be (and she's a very literal kid, she wouldn't let me get away with it). How would you word it? I want her to wear some version of the birthday shirt each day, but maybe customizing them to each park (or maybe I should just make 6 of the same shirt for each day we're there).

And ... so the entire emphasis of the trip isn't just on the one child (and so there's no "how come she got a special shirt?" issues) ... how do I word T-shirts for the other two kids? "My First Disney Trip" ??? Too lame?

Any and all ideas most welcome!

My internet is down and I am sitting on my porch using one I was able to pick up outside - there is a coffee house nearby with access - thank goodness!! so I am just letting people know I am working on it and either tonight or tomorrow I will be able to get it for you

PM me any customizations you want - I am working on a web page for you guys to download the designs!!

Hiedi, how about "I'm celebrating my 7th birthday"?

I would do different designs for each day...you don't want all your pictures to show the same shirt in all of them! :)

We are doing the same thing in December with friends and it will be their kids first trip to Disney so I plan on making them shirts that say "First Disney Trip" and names and year on the back of the shirt. Not sure yet what design I want to do yet for them since they will be 8 and 10 when we go.

Are you following the directions to the letter? That's very important. You have to use a hard surface & not an ironing board. Use the exact heat setting specified & iron for the time it says. Make sure your shirts are the correct fiber content, etc. As for a preferred type of paper, Hanes/Transfer Magic (same thing) offers an "Oops" guarantee. If you mess up a shirt using their paper, they will remimburse you for the cost. You can order the paper online (as Hanes) or buy it at Hobby Lobby or Jo Ann's (Transfer Magic). I've also use Avery paper with good success.

I don't know of any way to remove them. :sad1: .

I have just sat here and read all 44 pages of this! It's been a really long lunch for me. :rotfl2:

I hope to PM one of you soon, probably j&n's mom since midnite seems overloaded. I need to think of what I want for us.

We will be a mixed group, me, DH, DD, DS, my mother, my niece and her boyfriends, so 4 different last names. First trip for boyfriend, niece hasn't been in 7 years, mom comes with us fairly often, and we go a lot.

It will be our first trip home as DVC members, just lots going on.

I do love the turquoise retro Mickey, I thought maybe all of our first names would be cute on it, with the circles reading November, 2005. I also love the fireworks mickey head. That would be cute on a darker color shirt. Then we could have dark, white and tie dye. Wonder if the boyfriend would be willing to wear matching shirts? He is 24, but is like a little kid with his first trip to WDW.

Also loved the tie dyes, I will have to get on that.

We will be leaving in 3 weeks for Mt. Rushmore so maybe I could try some basic tie-dye before that.

Wow guys, you are awesome! I am not at all creative, but love what you have done.

Just wanted to say I'm enjoying lurking on this thread and seeing the creativity here. I'm a total photoshop novice and I aspire to someday be able to do things like this. You guys are an inspiration!
