Everyone has that one alcohol that they now avoid after some unfortunate night long ago.

Have you heard the song "Tequilla makes her clothes come off". I've heard stories for just about every kind of alcohol from dozens of different people.

No...
My song is
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine.
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime...

My unfortunate Vodka incident was 17 years ago! I just recently started drinking orange juice again.

I'm here, but headed to bed. Just finished doing the most depressing letter asking for Medicaid for Rees (medically necessary Medicaid for kids with disabilities). he does so well, but when you look at all the stuff on paper it's really hard to swallow. Oh, well. Doesn't matter. He's the most awesome kids in the world and I'm so lucky to be his mom and have him here instead of heaven. Ok, I'm crying and signing off. Sorry to be a downer, but being the parent of a special needs child is such a privilege and a heart breaker at the same time. Night all.

Denise, I am sure that dealing with Rees' issues can be a little overwhelming at times, but the knowledge of what a special kid he is will always overcome the sadness. God knew that Rees was going to need a little extra love and attention and he looked long and hard to find the family who would provide that for him. You were it.

Every once in a while take a little time to feel bad for Rees and the struggles he will face in life, but then wake up the next day and bounce back. You will give him everything he needs and find the right people to help him. With your love, there is nothing else he will ever want for.

You're all in stealth mode. Now I'll never know who's on.
Very sneaky. Kate can keep an eye on Amy and she won't even know....

Uh oh.... I think we've created a monster!!!!

Okay - so I think you were born like the same year as me - my math tells me you should not have been partaking in vodka at that point in time!!

My incident happened 14 years ago

funny how something like that just sticks with you!!

How crowded is it the week before Christmas?

pg 1133

Denise it wasn't bad from Dec 16 (A Friday) until Dec 22 ( A Tuesday I think) We didn't go into any park on Christmas Day. It poured. The heavens opened up and it rained and rained. We watched the parade at the Poly and spent time in the concierge lounge until it was time for our dinner at 1900 Park Faire. We had a great time, but I don't think we'll ever go on Christmas Day again. My dsil has too many relatives here, and he REALLY missed his Dad. And his Dad missed seeing the kids on Christmas Day....

And now that my son and his wife live within an hour of our home and are expecting.... and we were all together at Disney last year.... Well, it was a once it a lifetime event. We stayed for my DGD's birthday on the 26th. The parks were a madhouse. I don't think I have ever seen that many people in one place in my life. We got to MGM first thing and it took an hour to get through the turnstills. :crowded:

I have planned to go the end of November through the first week in December. The same time you planned. That should be a good time. I want to see the Osborne lights. Go to a MVMCP. See the CP. Do a few Mousefest events. And be home for Christmas..... :cloud9:

Ok, you all are buying each other drinks...I bartend for a living, well ok for Disney Money but you get the point. I'll make you all anything you'd like. I can be a girl's or guy's best friend ;)

Deb

Deb I also bartend. I have to work tomorrow night as a bartender at DH's private club. It can get crazy in December with all of the Christmas parties. Time flies then.

I don't normally prefer martinis, but I did find one I like - the Key Lime Pie Martini. They are really yummy.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've had a couple of those nights, but I'm afraid that I may have mixed a few drinks rather than sticking to one so I don't have an aversion due to that. I really don't like beer or wine, but do ok with mixed drinks.

Dh will not drink Rumpleminz anymore. He did 21 shots one night long ago and they were served in chocolate shot glasses. You drink the shot then eat the glass. It tasted good going down, but at 100 proof it had to come back up. :earseek: :earseek: (Rumpleminz is mint flavored).

Wow, you guys like the time consuming drinks.

An ameretto sours sounds good, but I usually go for a slo comfortable screw. More alcohol and it tastes good.

Deb

Deb - we drank slo confortable screws in college. I think we just really liked the name. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I howevr did like the drink. More liquor, but doesn't taste like any.

I've never tried one. What's in it? We don't do a lot of specialty drinks at the restaurant, mostly the tried and true ones. I did have someone order a greatful dead tonight. Haven't done one in years. I wonder if it's cause I was wearing my tye dye christmas shirt..I got lots of compiliments on my unusual christmas attire.
