Precious. Just precious. She's adorable.

I'm here, but headed to bed. Just finished doing the most depressing letter asking for Medicaid for Rees (medically necessary Medicaid for kids with disabilities). he does so well, but when you look at all the stuff on paper it's really hard to swallow. Oh, well. Doesn't matter. He's the most awesome kids in the world and I'm so lucky to be his mom and have him here instead of heaven. Ok, I'm crying and signing off. Sorry to be a downer, but being the parent of a special needs child is such a privilege and a heart breaker at the same time. Night all.

Fudge tastes great and easy to make....

Yeah It worked for you. I always cringe when I post a recipe because even if it works for me it might not for someone else then you look like an a** for posting it. Now I have proven results and can breathe a sigh of relief.

That is so wrong on so many levels!!

1 - how could you be that sick

2 - how the heck did she find someone willing to make the call?!?!

3 - how sad that people know how pathetic you are that they didn't even believe it!!

So very true. That's why she is not welcome in our lives. Well actually there's a better reason, but that is an example.

What a tough start to life this kid is going to have.

This is only the tip of the iceberg - She has no chance (it's a girl) - it breaks my heart!!

I have cried and cried over it - DH and I would raise her if we could convince her to let us but she is actually happy about it :confused3 She just has no clue and is surrounded by more clueless people - they let her stop being in the car seat at 2 - b/c she didn't like riding in it - no one has ever given her boundaries - we used to take bets on who would produce the first great grandchild and she was usually the best odds - she got sent off to a special school and that is probably the only reason Julia was the first!

Denise,
You deserve the biggest medal, trophy one could get. ANY child with special concerns can put a big load on the parent's shoulders. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Rees is very lucky to have such an awesome Mommy!! The way you talk about him and the stories you tell - the casual observer would have no clue he is special needs!!

Dealing with Julia's minor speech delay was so HUGE and it gave me a whole new appreciation for parents of children with special needs - I learned that no matter how much others might say they will try to help - you are their only voice and to advocate for your child can be a full time and exhausting job - but like you say - the most rewarding thing in the world!!!

Hey Deb - Paul is waiting for your answer on the fudge before he goes to bed. SOOOO how long???

Just until it cools. I can't say how long for sure. I usually touch the top and if my finger doesn't sink in then it's probably done.

I'll have a margarita with an extra shot of Tequila. Frozen, with salt, please.
